Passive Capillary Flow of Aqueous Working Liquids in the Straight PMMA Microchannels of Rectangular Cross- sections
Abstract: In this report, polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) is used to fabricate the straight microchannels of uniform channel widths having rectangular cross-sections. Maskless lithography, hot embossing lithography and direct bonding are the chosen techniques to fabrication the straight PMMA microchannels. Aqueous ethanol and aqueous isopropyl alcohol (IPA) are the prepared aqueous working liquids to study the passive capillary flow characteristics. Short Report on Surface-Driven Capillary Flow of Dyed Water in Straight Microchannel Fabricated by Polymer
Abstract: In this experimental work, a single straight microchannel of rectangular cross-section is fabricated by maskless lithography, hot embossing lithography and direct bonding technique. This microchannel is fabricated using polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) as optically transparent polymer. Dyed water is selected and prepared as working liquid. CMOS camera is used to record the surface-driven capillary flow of dyed water in the fabricated straight microchannel. This work will be useful in applied chemistry.
