Feasibility Analysis of a Medium Scale Plug Flow Digester Technology: Case Study in Vietnam
Abstract: The environment pollution and low-cost energy needs have motivated to develop the advanced biogas technologies on medium and large-scale farms in developing countries. And the plug flow digester technology is one of effective solutions for handling livestock manure in bulk quantity with the low-cost, high efficiency, and abundant output gas. In Vietnam, over 20 projects of medium scale using this technology were installed at farms and slaughterhouses, but the obtained …

Bioenergy and Biomass Conversion for Sustainable Energy Production
Abstract: This study delves deeply into the essential role that bioenergy derived from biomass conversion plays in achieving sustainable energy production. The primary aims of this research encompass exploring a diverse range of biomass resources, and their availability, evaluating different biomass conversion technologies (including both thermochemical and biochemical processes), analyzing the sustainability of these conversion methods, and elucidating their significant contribution towards realizing renewable energy targets. This investigation relies on an …

Study on the Bio-kinetic Coefficients of Kitchen Effluent using UASB Reactor
Abstract: The upflow anaerobic sludge bed (UASB) reactor was operated at optimum organic loading rate (OLR) of 2.4 kg-COD/m3-day, with hydraulic detention time (HDT) of 10–12 h during the study. It was concluded from the study that the treatment of high-ranged kitchen mill effluent is technically feasible provided that the pH of the system is kept near to neutral. This can be achieved by adding NaHCO3 to the feed solution. The …

Testing and Analysis of Biogas Development using Cow Dung for Rural Areas in Northern Ghana
Abstract: The proposed paper aims to analyze the production of biogas by the use of cow dung with adifferent set of experiments. For this experiment, five-set of 250 ml conical flasks (labelled A-E), were used as digesters to generate biogas from cow dung. This experiment is subjected tofive different treatments to do the analysis. The slurry with 58.3 g dung and 174.9 g water iscollected in the digesters and it is …

An Update on the Virulence Factors of Actinobacillus Actinomycetemcomitans A Systematic Review
Abstract: Over the last 20 years, research on Actinobacillus actinomycetemcomitans (Aa) a periodontopathogen, has provided a tremendous amount of information as a major anaerobic, opportunistic pathogen. Elucidation of the virulence in Aa is especially difficult because of this bacteri pathogenicity being multifaceted, including both microbial and host factors and the inability to clearly define the disease state of many forms of destructive periodontal disease. The objectives of this study were to …

Oral Eruption Associated With Cefuroxime Axetil: An Unusual Complication
Abstract: Cefuroxime Axetil is an oral cephalosporin class of antibiotic having broader gram negative activity and used in infective conditions caused by facultative bacteria and anaerobes such as respiratory tract infection, intra-abdominal infection, pelvic inflammatory disease and diabetic foot infection etc. Severe oral eruption associated with swelling on lips and mucosal erythemas are not described previously as ADR due to Cefuroxime. Here, we report a case of severe oral eruption induced …

Analytical Examination on the Characterization of Wood Materials for Biohydrogen Production
Abstract: Investigation was carried out with the aim to characterized some of wood materials obtained in Rivers State of Nigeria. The wood samples considered are Agba, Mahogany and Ako, in which the obtained result demonstrates variation in the ultimate composition as well as relative hydrogen gas produced with the action of anaerobic organisms, especially, for the fermented process. The production of the biohydrogen gas from each of the wood material sampled …
