Substrates Effects on CdTe Thin Films Using Double Layer Thermal Evaporation
Abstract: The CdTe thin films are successfully deposited by a thermal evaporation method. In the CdTe/CdS/FTO glass and CdTe/CdS/AZO/FTO glass structures, modified double-layer thermal evaporation technique is applied for the preparation of CdTe thin films. The XRD analysis of CdTe thin films showed that the films are polycrystalline with a cubic structure. The scanning electron microscopy (SEM) image showed the homogeneous and uniform surface structure of the films. High conductivity of …

Vapor Compression Refrigeration System
Abstract: Refrigeration has been achieved in a variety of methods throughout history, but due to their efficiency anddurability, vapor-compression refrigeration systems (VCRS) have become the favored option. A vapor-compression refrigeration system, in essence, is a system that uses liquid refrigerant in a closed systemthat circulates it through four stages of compression and expansion, transforming it from liquid to vapor. As a result of this change, heat is either absorbed or ejected by …

Analysis of Thermo Hydraulic Performance of Artificial V-Rib Roughness of Solar Air Heater: A Review
Abstract: Solar air heaters (SAHs) are the simplest energy conversion device which transforms incoming solar radiation to thermal energy. In traditional SAH the convective heat transfer rate is low. To improve heat transfer rate the artificial rib roughness is employed on the absorber plate. Although rib roughness increases the heat transfer rate, as well as the pressure drop due to friction. So in order to achieve maximum increment in thermo hydraulic …

CO2 SAFETY ISSUES AND ITS USE AS A NATURAL REFRIGERANT IN REFRIGERATION
Abstract: The atmosphere contains about 0.04% carbon dioxide, which is a naturally occurring chemical (400 ppm). The majority of living things make it while breathing, and plants absorb it. It is also created through a variety of industrial operations, most notably the burning of fossil fuels like coal, gas, or oil to produce electricity or power vehicles. In the modern era, CO2 refrigeration and heat pumping technologies are acknowledged as practical …

Evaporative Cooling By Using Different Porous Materials
Abstract: The method of evaporative cooling involves raising the air temperature by causing water vapour in an airstream to evaporate. Waterneeds the latent heat of vaporisation to evaporate, and this heat is produced by ambient air and a drop in air temperature. A porousmedium is necessary for both direct and indirect evaporative cooling in order to allow heat and mass transfer between the medium'swater and the air moving through it, or …

Efficient Cooling with Peltier Modules: A Guide to Air Cooler Design
Abstract: The average annual temperature is rising due to the daily rise in global warming, which makes life more difficult and stressful for those who live in load-shedding-affected areas. Modern cooling technologies, such as air conditioners and coolers, are useless during the hottest parts of the day because they don't use inverters to generate backup electricity. In order to address the issues of portability, economy, and cost-effectiveness, the idea of alternative …

The Use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) to Disperse Fog and Improve Visibility
Abstract: Ground and aerial movements may be restricted at an airport due to limited visibility caused by fog. Both of these could result in poorer throughput because of the safety considerations associated with tasks that have low visibility. As a result of the vastly increased number of aircraft that are now capable of landing and taking off in situations with extremely low surface visibility, the ultimate capacity limit may on occasion …
