A Comparison among Twenty-Seven Normality Tests
Abstract: This paper studies and compares the power of 27 normality tests via the Monte Carlo simulation of sample data generated from symmetric three short-tailed and three long-tailed, asymmetric three short-tailed and three long-tailed distributions under different sample sizes by using R codes. Our simulation results showed that for symmetric short-tailed Uniform (0, 1), t (10) and Beta (4, 4) distributions showed that the Agostino-Pearson K2, Jarque Bera and Kurtosis tests …

Rule based Normalization of Regular Expression
Abstract: The regular expression is a specific pattern that provides the concise and flexible way to match strings of text. It is useful in the data validation, internet search engine, production of the syntax highlighting system, extract a substring from a string, etc. In this paper, the concept of un-normalized and normalized regular expression is discussed. An un-normalized regular expression(r) can be converted into normalized regular expression (r') having the property …

Evaluating the Role of Arterial Duplex Ultrasound in Diabetic Foot Ulcer Patients with Normal Ankle Brachial Pressure Index and Peripheral Pulses
Abstract: Background: Requesting a arterial duplex scan has been a recent trend in management of diabetic foot ulcer, as it is considered the gold standard modality of investigation for diagnosing peripheral arterial diseases. Nevertheless, increased burden of the diabetic foot ulcer patients and limited availability of the facilities and trained radiologists prompts us to use this investigation judiciously. Most of the studies focus on role of abnormal ABPI as a predictor …

Normal Retinal Nerve Fibre Layer (RNFL) Thickness in Indian Population: Optical Coherence Tomogram
Abstract: We determine normal retinal nerve fibre layer (RNFL) in the normal North Indian population as measured by optical coherence tomography (OCT). It provides cross-sectional observational study. Twenty normal subjects from 10 to 45 yrs old (40 study eyes) have been selected as participants for this study. As a method, peripapillary fast RNFL scans performed by FD-OCT with a nominal diameter of 3.46 mm centered on the optic disc were performed …

Evaluation of the Effect of Zinc Supplementation on Glycemic Control and Lipid Profile in Normoglycemic and Streptozotocin-induced Type-2 Diabetic Rats
Abstract: Diabetes mellitus is a chronic, progressive disease, which is accompanied by multiple complications. Hyperglycemia and dyslipidemia are common complications of diabetes mellitus. The current approaches for treatment of diabetes are mostly dependent on insulin and other oral standard drugs, which have their own put falls. Thus, micronutrients supplementation is gaining momentum as the quest for management of diabetes continues. Certain micronutrients increase insulin synthesis secretion and insulin sensitivity thereby improve …

Abstract: The term diabetes mellitus describes a metabolic disorder of multiple aetiologies and is characterized by chronic hyperglycemia with disturbances of carbohydrate, fat and protein metabolism resulting from defects in insulin secretion, insulin action, or both. The current approaches for treatment of diabetes are mostly dependent on insulin and other oral standard drugs, which have their own drawbacks. Thus, micronutrients supplementation is gaining momentum as the quest for management of diabetes …
