Classical Physics versus Quantum Physics: An Overview
Abstract: Newtonian mechanics is the foundation of Classical Physics. Newton’s mechanics, Thermodynamics, Wave theory of Optics and Maxwell’s electromagnetic theory belong to regime of Classical Physics and can be used to explain a wide range of phenomena in the Universe at macroscopic scale. These theories fail spectacularly when applied to phenomena in the atomic and nuclear regime, for example, proton-atom scattering or the flow of electrons in a semiconductor. Quantum mechanics …

Role of Impaired Digestion in Disease Pathogenesis: According to Unani System of Medicine
Abstract: The relationship between digestion and disease occupies a central position in Greco-Arab (Unani) medicine, as emphasized by classical physicians such as Ibn Sina and Al-Razi. In Unani medicine, digestion (Haḍm) is not confined to the gastrointestinal tract alone but represents a comprehensive physiological and metabolic process involving four sequential stages: gastric digestion (Haḍm-e-Mi‘dī), hepatic digestion (Haḍm-e-Kabidī), vascular digestion (Haḍm-e-‘Urūqī), and tissue digestion (Haḍm-e-‘Uḍwī). These stages are governed by Quwwat-e-Hāḍima (digestive …

Dependence of Fidelity of Quantum Teleportation for Pure State on Degree of Entanglement
Abstract: Quantum information and computation has been a rapidly evolving field. As Landauer pointed out, information is physical, so it should not look strange to try to bring together quantum mechanics and information theory. Indeed, it was soon realized that it was possible to use the laws of quantum physics to perform tasks which are unconceivable within the framework of classical physics like quantum teleportation, superdense coding, quantum cryptography, Shor’s factorization …

Advanced Lithium-Ion Battery Prognostics: A Comprehensive Review of Machine Learning Approaches for Remaining Useful Life Prediction
Abstract: The lithium-ion battery (LIB), as one of the main sources for portable power systems, has been increasingly popular owing to its widespread applications in electric vehicles, consumer electronics, aerospace and renewable energy. Despite their advantages in high energy density and long cycle life, LIBs suffer from degradation over time of aging and cycling, resulting in loss of performance, safety issues, and economic bottlenecks. Predicting their Remaining Useful Life (RUL) is …

Experimental Demonstration on Polymer based Microfluidics at the First Quantisation in Physics
Abstract: Difference between classical mechanics and quantum mechanics is the first quantisation in physics as the quantum theory is first quantisation in physics. Quantum field theory is the second quantisation in physics. Principles of fluid mechanics belong to the classical mechanics (non-quantum). Hence, fluid mechanics is present at the first quantisation in physics. Bulk-fluidics, microfluidics and nanofluidics are the levels of fluid mechanics from the aspects of miniaturisation. In this experimental …

Unani Concepts of Brain Pathology: Humoral Mechanisms in Māddī Neurological Disorders
Abstract: Background: The Unani System of Medicine (USM) considers the brain (Dimāgh) as the principal organ of Quwā Nafsāniyya (psychic faculties), responsible for sensation, cognition, memory, movement, and emotional regulation. According to Unani principles, health is maintained through equilibrium of Mizāj (temperament) and Akhlāṭ (humours), whereas disease develops when this balance is disturbed. Among neurological disorders, Sū’-i-Mizāj Māddī Dimāgh refers to pathological conditions of the brain associated with the accumulation of …

The Concept of Mind and Treatment of Mental Diseases in Homoeopathy
Abstract: Homeopathy treats the patient as a whole in mental and physical plane together based on symptom similarity. Homoeopathy rejects mind-body duality. According to Homoeopathic principles, mind and body are dynamically interconnected. Mental diseases are not separate from so called physical diseases. The classical texts of Homoeopathy have given detailed description of importance of mental symptoms in prescribing suitable similar medicine as well as case taking of mentally ill patients; and …

Shiqaq-e-Maqad (Fissure in Ano) As Per Unani System of Medicine
Abstract: Anal fissure is one of the most common anorectal condition encountered in clinical practice. It is a longitudinal split in the anoderm, with surrounding oedema and inflammatory induration which causes painful defecation, bleeding with streaks of blood on the surface of stool or on toilet paper and itching per rectum. As per Modern aspect, the aetiology of anal fissure is not known. They generally arise with local trauma caused by …

Efficacy of a Unani Formulation in Subjective Complaints of Shiqaqe Maqad (Anal Fissure): An Observational Clinical Study
Abstract: An anal fissure is a longitudinal split in the anoderm, with surrounding edema and inflammatory induration. Passing of hard stools has been the most common etiological factor. It affects more than 10% of patients attending proctology clinics and the incidence is growing high day by day. Almost all Unani physicians in their classical text books have mentioned anal fissure as Shigaaf in anal canal caused by various reasons among which …

A Critical Appraisal of Nutritional Value of Mashadi Modaka in Ativyayama Janit Poshana Abhava (Relative Energy Deficiency) in Sports Persons
Abstract: Background: Sports Medicine is defined as physical fitness, treatment and prevention of injury related to sports and exercise. As per Ayurvedic classical texts, in the concept of Dinacharya, Vyayama is defined as physical exercise and is advised to be performed at Ardhashakti (~half of one’s capacity). Otherwise, Atiyoga Lakshana, such as Shrama (~excessive fatigue), Klama (~exhaustion), Kshaya (~depletion), etc., may be observed. Nowadays, it is observed that most sportspersons consume …

Categorization of Indian Classical Music Using MB-BE Distributions
Abstract: Abstract: Information is usually made up of repetitive arrangements of basic patterns. The presence of such sequences contributes to the unique style/behaviour the information congregation represents. Various such congregations like music, language, biological signals exhibit this kind of repetitive patterns of symbolic sequences. The problem of categorizing such information collection is that the usual methods used are mostly nonquantifiable. In this study, its has been quantify that such abstractness using …

Physics, Metaphysics, and the Subtle Sciences: A Dialogue between Indigenous Worldviews and Microvita Theory
Abstract: This paper explores the convergence of physics, metaphysics, and subtle sciences through a comparative analysis of indigenous knowledge systems and P.R. Sarkar’s Microvita Theory. Indigenous worldviews across various cultures articulate a holistic understanding of reality in which consciousness, matter, and life processes are deeply interconnected. These frameworks increasingly resonate with developments in quantum physics and systems theory that challenge classical mechanistic paradigms. Microvita Theory, introduced by P.R. Sarkar, posits the …
