A Defected Ground Textile Antenna for Bluetooth/WLAN Applications
Abstract: A novel design of a slotted antenna for Bluetooth & WLAN Applications is presented in this paper. Modifications of the initial rectangular design for improving return loss and bandwidth are proposed and discussed. The proposed antenna was successfully developed by using CST Microwave Studio and fabricated prototype by using jeans substrate and copper tape. The proposed textile antenna covers a wide impedance bandwidth of about 81.46 %. The proposed antenna …

Development of Attendance Monitoring System for Students Safety
Abstract: In this paper, we introduce a better biometric attendance management system for students so that, the students’ safety can be assured by the parents as well as records can be maintained with ease and accuracy. Taking into account the disadvantages of the traditional method, wireless fingerprint attendance system using GSM is proposed. Keywords: GSM, enrolment, authenticationCite this Article Thomas Jiya P, Josmy Jose, Remya CR et al. Implementation of Wireless Biometric Attendance Management System Using Raspberry Pi
Abstract: The attendance is taken in every institute, school, college and library. Traditional approach for attendance is teacher calls student's name and records attendance. It takes time to record the attendance. For each lecture, this is wastage of time. To avoid these losses, we designed a system which is based on fingerprint. This system maintains the attendance records of students. So we designed an efficient module that comprises a fingerprint sensor …

Li-Fi Technology: A Review
Abstract: Light-Fidelity (Li-Fi) takes visible light communication (VLC) further by using light emitting diodes (LEDs) to realise fully networked wireless systems [1]. One German physist Harald Hass has come up with a solution for most likely gotten frustrated at the slow speeds you face when more than one device is tapped in to the network, he calls “data through illumination” by sending data through an LED light bulb that varies in …

Recognition and Classification of Clothing Pattern and Color
Abstract: Choosing clothes with complex patterns and colors is a challenging task for visually impaired and blind people. The automatic clothing pattern and color recognition is also a challenging problem due to the large intra-class variation, rotation, scaling and illumination. Here, we recognize clothing patterns in four categories (plaid, striped, pattern-less, and irregular), and identify 11 clothing colors (red, orange, yellow, green, cyan, blue, purple, pink, black, grey, and white). The …

Design an Algorithm to Detect and Count Small Size Object Using Digital Image Processing
Abstract: This paper presents algorithm to detect and count small size objects using digital image processing in MATLAB. Digital image processing can be used for small size with high accuracy. The image with different objects is captured by digital camera. There is an algorithm based on morphologic that converts the input image into a format such that the number of objects can be counted based on the components present in the …
