Green Synthesis of Selenium Nano-metalloid from the extract of Cabbage (Brassica oleracea var. capitata) leaf and its Antimicrobial Activities
Abstract: Green synthesis specifies the creation of nano-size particles (NPs) by a biological process using the reducing properties of metabolites in the plant extracts. The present work reports the use of cabbage (Brassica oleracea var. capitata.) leaf extract as a reducing and stabilizing agent to synthesize selenium nanoparticles (SeNPs) via the green route of synthesis. The as-prepared SeNPs were analyzed by UV–vis spectroscopy, FTIR, DLS, SEM, and EDX. Nano-crystalline SeNPs has …

Investigation of Structural and Magnetic Properties of Gadolinium Substituted in Nickel – Cobalt Nano ferrite by Chemical Route
Abstract: Ni0.5Co0.5GdyFe2-y O4 nanoparticles were successfully synthesized via chemical route. The Gadolinium (Gd3+) doped in Nickel (Ni) cobalt (Co) Nano Ferrite at various compositions such as Ni0.5Co0.5GdyFe2-y O4 (where y=0.025, 0.050, 0.075, 0.1, 0.125, 0.150) were synthesized by a simple cost-effective method involving sol-gel auto combustion process. Synthesized samples were sintered at 6000C temperature. The structural and magnetic properties of synthesized Gd3+ doped Nickel-Cobalt Nano Ferrite was investigated and presented in …

Phytosynthesis of silver nanoparticles using Calotropis gigantea flower extract and its antibacterial activity
Abstract: The present study involves the green synthesis of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) using the extract of white Calotropis gigantea flowers. The AgNPs were characterized by UV-Vis spectroscopy, FESEM, XRD, FTIR analysis. A color change was observed at 384 nm indicating the synthesis of nanoparticles due to surface plasmon resonance. The average nanoparticle size was about 50 nm. XRD analysis showed that the AgNPs were crystalline and face centered in nature. FTIR …

A Comparative Study of Plant Mediated Synthesis of Silver, Copper and Zinc Nanoparticles from Tiliacora acuminata (lam.) Hook. F. and Their Antibacterial Activity Studies
Abstract: Green synthesis of nanoparticles is becoming more and more popular due to its compensation over physical or chemical methods. This research was carried out to the synthesis of nanoparticles employing three different metals (silver nitrate, copper and zinc sulphate) using Tiliacora acuminata (family: Menispermaceae) fruit powder. The synthesized nanoparticles were characterized through the UV-Vis Spectrophotometer, FT-IR and X-Ray Diffraction studies. The antibacterial activity of nanoparticles was studied against disease causing …

Frustrated Electron Spins Beget Quantum Technology
Abstract: Materials are the connectors between the real and imaginary world. Frustration in electron’s spin in specific materials due to overchoice resulting in the material to be like liquid and such material is known as quantum spin liquids. These are assumed to hold quantum entanglement which has many potential applications in the field of quantum information processing, quantum technology and many more. In this review, an attempt has made to explain …
