Abstract

Wireless systems based on IoT have developed exponentially in various aspects. The Internet of Things (IoT) is a network in which physical devices, sensors, and other objects communicate among themselves without the involvement of humans. The WSN (Wireless sensor network) is a central component of IoT that has escalated into various applications in the real world. Many industries are turning towards industrial automation as it provides increased efficiency, reduced costs, and a competitive edge in the market and hence it is an application of WSN with IoT. By leveraging IoT technology to monitor and regulate temperature and humidity levels, hospitals and pharmaceutical institutions can ensure that their products remain safe and effective while reducing waste and minimizing the risk of spoilage. Smart homes that leverage the power of IoT and WSN technologies can offer homeowners greater control over their living spaces, with the ability to remotely manage everything from lighting and climate control to security systems and entertainment devices. In this way, IoT can be implemented for various purposes and can be used in any domain. The IoT gateway can be implemented through the Raspberry Pi module. The Raspberry Pi can function as a central hub in a wireless sensor network (WSN), enabling it to gather data from various sensor nodes and provide a range of services to multiple clients, such as displaying the collected data.
