Optimization of Fly Ash and Granulated Blast Furnace Slag (FA-GBFS) Mixes for Flexible Pavements
Abstract: This study investigates the compaction, strength, and permeability characteristics of fly ash (FA) stabilized with granulated blast furnace slag (GBFS) to determine the optimal mix proportions for geotechnical applications. Standard Proctor compaction, unconfined compressive strength (UCS), California Bearing Ratio (CBR), and permeability tests were conducted on FA-GBFS mixtures, with GBFS content varying from 10 to 50% by dry weight. The results indicate that increasing GBFS content enhances the maximum dry …

Recent Trends in Ocular Drug Delivery: Challenges and Approaches
Abstract: Drug topically regulation can be accessed most easily in the eye. When given topically as eye drops, medication ocular bioavailability is quite low. Drug entry into specific ocular locations is complicated by the complex anatomy and physiology of the human eye. Research has long been interested in the topical administration of successful treatments. To provide a suitable ocular penetration and extend the duration of drug residence is their challenging task. …

Experimental Research on the Strength Properties of Concrete with Recycled Aggregate, Pond Ash, and Rubber Powder Replaced in Part for Concrete Materials in Standard Grades
Abstract: Concrete, a fundamental material in modern construction, poses environmental concerns due to its significant carbon footprint. To mitigate this impact, researchers explore alternative materials like fly ash, GGBS, alcofine, and rubber powder as cement replacements. This study examines the durability and strength of concrete that contains recycled aggregate, pond ash, and waste rubber powder. Waste rubber, abundant from industrial and automotive sources, poses disposal challenges. Pond ash, a byproduct of …

Determining the Characteristics of Concrete Composed of Different types of Aggregates
Abstract: This study investigates the influence of recycled aggregates on the compressive strength of concrete designed for medium workability. Various replacement proportions of recycled aggregates (0%, 50%, 60%, and 100%) were examined using conventional mix design methods, specifically focusing on 10 mm recycled aggregates' impact. The specimens comprised 100% recycled aggregate, with a combination of 60% 20 mm and 40% 10 mm sizes. Compressive strength analyses were conducted at 7 and …
