Abstract: Medicinal plants are natural biofactories producing secondary metabolites with significant therapeutic value, including terpenoids, alkaloids, and phenolics. Among these, artemisinin, a sesquiterpene lactone from Artemisia annua L. is the cornerstone of global antimalarial therapy along with additional anticancer, antiviral, and antimicrobial activities.
