Interfacial and Tribo-Mechanical Performance of a TiO₂–Castor Oil Polymeric Nanofluid During Sustainable Machining of AISI 316L Stainless Steel Under MQL Conditions
Abstract: This research examines the tribo-mechanical performance and interfacial film characteristics of a TiO₂-reinforced castor-oil polymeric nanofluid during the turning of AISI 316L stainless steel under minimum-quantity lubrication (MQL). A Taguchi L9 orthogonal array was utilized to assess the synergistic effects of cutting speed, depth of cut, and coolant composition on surface integrity, while machining experiments were performed under dry, conventional, and TiO₂-nanofluid lubrication techniques. ANOVA and multiple-regression modeling were used …

Experimental investigation of thermally grown Indium film’s structural and tribological properties
Abstract: Indium thin film growth found numerous applications, such as cold welding of infrared detectors and readout-integrated circuits (ROIC) to form sensor chips. In film is grown on the Si substrate by thermal evaporation. The XRD results indicated the tetragonal bcc phase in the (101) preferential plane. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) indicated an uniform, continuous film covering the whole surface. The EDS examination confirmed the pure In film. The atomic force …

Fabrication and Assessment of Tribological Performance of Nickel-Graphene-MXene Hybrid Nano-composites
Abstract: As industries such as aerospace, automotive, defence, and electronics demand materials with superior wear resistance, high strength, and thermal stability, traditional metals are reaching their performance limits. Hybrid nanocomposites offer a pathway to meet these stringent requirements. In this study, novel Nickel-Graphene-MXene hybrid nanocomposites were fabricated using a powder metallurgy route, incorporating varying weight percentages (up to 2 wt.%) of MXene and 1 wt.% graphene nanosheets into a nickel matrix …

Comprehensive Study on the Mechanical And Tribological Response of Waste Tyre Rubber–Natural Fiber Hybrid Epoxy Composites
Abstract: Research into the mechanical and tribological characteristics of Prosopis juliflora-fiber reinforced epoxy-matrix composites with recycled tyre rubber particles is the focus of this investigation. Making use of old tire rubber and bio-reinforcing with fibers from the common invasive plant Prosopis juliflora are the goals of the two-reinforcement technique. The end goal is to produce long-lasting, cost-effective engineered composite materials with improved performance. A constant epoxy resin matrix was used to …
