Effect of Soaking Time on the Proximate Composition of Moringa Seeds Flour
Abstract: Effect of soaking on the proximate composition of Moringa seeds was investigated. Moringa seeds were soaked in deionized water for 24, 48 and 72 hours respectively, followed by draining, drying and milling. The unsoaked seeds were milled and serve as control. Results of the proximate composition were compared in the raw and soaked Moringa respectively. The moisture contents in Moringa seeds increased with soaking time (8.00% to 9.90%). Variation in …

Selection and Preparation of Solvent for Wax Dissolution in Heavy Crude Oil Wells
Abstract: Remedial measures for wax deposition problems in production wells are very hectic due to production down time and expenditure required for removal of heavy and waxy crude oil. Chemical treatment techniques with solvent formulation derived from many laboratory experiments were carried out with the waxy crude oil sample to recover the solidified wax inside the pipelines and wellbores. A list of chemical solvents including three dispersants was mixed in different …

Evaluation of Physicomechanical and Biodestructible Properties of Polyethylene-based Composite Sheets for Packaging Application
Abstract: Worldwide, the packaging market has seen steady growth and plastic ingredients have become distinct. Plastic is an important part of daily life and is used for a variety of purposes. Low-density polyethylene (LDPE) plastic is one of the greatest influential packaging ingredients in today's society. When polyethylene plastic products are out of use, they are thrown away like ordinary garbage. The main disadvantage is that they are not biodegradable, and …

Comparative Analysis of Nutrient Content and Cooking Characteristics between Binamoog and Sonamoog of Bangladesh
Abstract: A study was conducted to ascertain biochemical composition and cooking qualities of mungbean seeds (Vigna radiata). Two varieties, namely Binamoog and Sonamoog (Deshi) were included in the experiment. The varieties differed in their seed size, seed volume and seed density. In the proximate compositions, the moisture, ash, protein, fat, starch, total sugar and reducing sugar contents of Binamoog seeds were found as 12.35%, 3.97%, 22.79%, 1.20%, 49.15%, 2.73% and 2.12%, …

An Insight into the Production of Bioethanol from the Duckweed
Abstract: The ultimate goal of this study was provided an insight into the production of bioethanol from the duckweed. In this study three experimental parameters for maximizing bioethanol yield were investigated during the dilute acid hydrolysis; acid concentration (0.6-1M), temperature (80-120oC) and time (60-180minutes). The conversion of duckweed to bioethanol can be achieved mainly by four process step; the first step was pretreatment of duckweed to remove different contaminates, dried at …
