The Role of Quercetin, Curcumin, Eugenol, and Andrographolide in COVID-19 Treatment: A Review of Their Mechanisms of Action and Clinical Efficacy
Abstract: The world has recently experienced the covid diseases. It became the global worry with no remedy initially. Later, different antiviral medications in the form of injections and nasal sprays began to be employed. Many studies have been conducted to determine the antiviral effects of phytochemical substances. The corona virus's spike protein interacts with the ACE2 receptors on the alveoli's surface to enter the cell. After that, the polyprotein is transformed …

Perspectives on ‘Kamsaharitaki’: an Ayurvedic Formulation for COVID-19 related Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome (MIS)
Abstract: Background and Aim: Angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 receptor (ACE2), together with Transmembrane protease serine 2 (TMPRSS2), is a protein receptor for SARS-CoV-2 virus in the host subject; expression of ACE2 and TMPRSS2 reveals the multidimensional character of COVID-19 infection. SARS-CoV-2 Prominently induces pulmonary and systemic injury with other synergistic mechanisms. Preexisting chronic inflammatory conditions markedly sustain and aggravate the severity and cytokine storm. Inflammatory responses are closely linked with COVID-19 severity …

Regional Variation in Amino Acid Composition, Antioxidant and Antimicrobial Activity of Tasar Sericin from North and South Bihar
Abstract: This study investigates geographical differences in biochemical and functional characteristics of sericin obtained from Antheraea mylitta cocoons sourced from two regions of Bihar, India: Bhagalpur (North) and Banka (South). Sericin was isolated via an alkali-assisted autoclaving process. Amino acid profiles were determined using HPLC. Free radical scavenging capacity was measured through DPPH, ABTS, and hydrogen peroxide assays. Antibacterial and antifungal effects were tested against Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, and Candida …

Comparison of the Keratinase Gene Sequences of Fast, Slow and Intermediate Feather Degrading Strains of Bacillus licheniformis
Abstract: Feathers are composed of beta keratin which is an insoluble protein resistant to degradation. Bacillus licheniformis has a gene that codes for a keratinase enzyme that hydrolyzes feathers. The DNA sequences of the genes coding for keratinase enzymes of various strains of B. licheniformis were compared. Some strains of the bacteria hydrolyze feathers rapidly, some slowly, and some at an intermediate rate. The mature keratinase enzyme is composed of 274 …

Biosynthesis of Amino Acids
Abstract: In this study, details of amino acids are given. Amino acids join to other amino acids and form protein. They are the ‘building blocks’ of the body. An overview of amino acid biosynthesis is given by glucose. Biosynthesis of serine from 3-phosphoglycerate and subsequent conversion of serine into glycine is explained with the diagram. General properties of amino acids are also given in this study. Keywords: Amino acids, building blocks, …

3D-QSAR Studies on Protein Phosphatase 2A Inhibitors as Anti-cancer Agents
Abstract: The tremendous efforts by researcher indicates that cantharidin, nor cantharidin and their analogues shows anti-cancer activity due to their inhibition of cancer cell lines such as HT29, SW480, MCF-7, A2780, H460, A431, DU145 and L1210. The anti-cancer activities of cantharidin, nor cantharidin and their analogues involve the inhibition of serine/threonine protein phosphatises (PPs) activity. In this study, three-dimensional quantitative structure activity relationship (3D-QSAR) like comparative molecular field analysis (CoMFA), and …

Aurora Kinase: A Target for Cancer Therapy
Abstract: Aurora kinases are the enzymes that belong to the family of serine/threonine kinases. It consists of Aurora-A (AURK-A), Aurora-B (AURK-B) and Aurora-C (AURK-C), which are the essential kinases for cell division through mitosis regulation especially for the process of chromosomal segregation. Aurora kinases are involved in meiosis regulation along with the regulation of mitosis. Inhibition of Aurora kinase leads to neglected cell division. Various cancer studies generally deal with gene …
