Mono(acetylacetonato)zirconium(IV) Aryloxides: Synthesis, Reactivity and Thermoanalytical Investigation
Abstract: Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 A series of novel zirconium(IV) complexes, formulated as ZrCl3−n(acac)(OArI–V)n (where n =− 3; –OArI = OC6H4Cl-2, –OArII = OC6H4Cl-4, –OArIII = –OC6H3Cl2-2,4, OArIV = –OC6H3Cl2-2,6 and OArV = –OC6H2Cl3-2,4,6) were synthesized by reacting ZrCl3(acac) with corresponding substituted chlorophenols in separate experiments. The complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, molar conductance measurements, molecular weight determination, spectroscopic techniques (1HNMR and IR) and thermal …

Nanostructured Coating Improves Properties of Metal: A Review
Abstract: Due to better erosion resistance, strength and wear resistance, demand of nitride base coating is highly recommended for coating industry. Nitride coating is highly recommended for tribological applications due to good wear and corrosion resistance. Reactive magnetron sputtering process is an effective method for microstructural and tribological analysis. Reactive magnetron sputtering gives excellent mechanical properties such as low thermal conductivity, corrosion resistance, wear resistance and higher hardness. Nitride coating with …

Thermal Stability of Compatibilised Natural Rubber/ Chitosan Blends
Abstract: The thermal degradation behavior of Natural Rubber /Chitosan (NR/CS) blends compatibilised with maleic anhydride (MA) was studied by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). The TGA shows that the MA modified blends are more stable than the pure blends. MA acts as a reactive compatibiliser in NR/CS blends. MA grafted NR chain is highly reactive towards the functional group on the chitosan moiety, and when pressing at elevated temperature interaction develops between the …

Reactive Power Pricing Technique in A Competitive Market
Abstract: For maintaining voltages of each bus within specific range, proper reactive power support is mandatory. Reactive power is considered as an ancillary service in the restructured electricity market, hence it is price based service and controlled by ISO. Here, a modified optimal power flow (OPF) optimization method is proposed over the bids received from Gencos and to maintain the system security and stability subject to the constraints imposed by different …

A Sol-Gel Approach for the Fabrication of Zinc Oxide Nanoparticles and Their Nanocomposite with Urea Formaldehyde (UF)
Abstract: In the performed work, zinc oxide nanoparticles were synthesized via the sol-gel method using zinc sulphate as the precursor material. Urea-formaldehyde (UF) resin was employed as a polymer matrix to encapsulate the produced ZnO through an acid-catalyzed polymerization process. This encapsulation aimed to improve the dispersion stability and surface reactivity of ZnO within the polymeric medium. The synthesized materials were subjected to comprehensive characterization using Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FT-IR), …
