Production of n-Butanol from Biomass by Two Step Fermentation Process Using Staphylococcus Sciuri
Abstract: This study explores the sustainable production of n-butanol from wheat husk through a two-step bioconversion process. Wheat husk, an abundant agricultural residue, was first fermented into butyric acid using Bacillus subtilis. The resultant butyric acid was then converted into n-butanol using Staphylococcus sciuri. The process leverages biological fermentation to create value-added chemicals from lignocellulosic biomass, offering an eco-friendly alternative to petrochemical methods. Two steps fermentation process were carried to increase …

Performance Analysis of Diesel Engine Using Hemp Biodiesel, Butanol and Diesel Fuel Blend
Abstract: The present study evaluates the possibility of using Hemp oil blended with Butanol (C4H9OH) & conventional diesel as an alternative fuel. Biodiesel is generated from hemp oil by transesterification. Hemp biodiesel is blended with conventional diesel & Butanol in distinct proportions such as B10 (10% hemp biodiesel+ 90% conventional diesel), B10Bu10 (10% hemp biodiesel+ 10% butanol+ 80% conventional diesel), B10Bu20 (10% hemp biodiesel+ 20% butanol+ 70% conventional diesel), B20 (20% …

A Study on Solvent Interaction and Thermal Transport of β-Carotene
Abstract: β-carotene, a prominent compound of carrot pigments having a non-polar nature consisting of conjugated double bonds, plays a vital role in human health as a biological antioxidant and a precursor of vitamin A. In addition, it is also responsible for being a multicolored agent in various plant species and extensively employed in food colorants. This has centered attention on β-carotene nowadays. For the extraction of β-carotene, we used the most …

ZnO Nanostructure Shape Effects in Photocatalysis of Methylene Blue
Abstract: Nowadays, dyes are used in the food industry, textile industry, paper industry, hair coloring, light-harvesting arrays, photoelectrochemical cells, etc. Most of the dyes are nonbiodegradable, toxic, carcinogenic, and consist of organic compounds. These dye wastages are discharged into water bodies and the environment causing serious hazards to the marine ecosystem as well as the humans extensively. To treat toxic dyes traditional methods such as adsorption, activated carbon, ultrafiltration, and reverse …
