Inverse Model for Predicting Thermal Abnormality of the Transient Process Triggered by Defective Electronics Element
Abstract: The paper presents a model for predicting thermal abnormalities in Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) by approximating the thermal process of electric elements with heating from point sources. Circuit board heat sources are defined as point and non-point. The point heat source is a small electronic heating element that can be approximated as having originated from one point on the circuit board. A non-point source is one with heat distributed over …

The Fundamental Premises of Efficient Linear Regression and Applying Regression
Abstract: Linear regression is a statistical technique for estimating the value of a dependent variable from an independent variable. Linear regression is a way to assess how two variables are related. A dependent variable is predicted using this modelling technique based on one or more independent factors. Many analyses are based on linear regression. Sometimes the data must be changed to satisfy the needs of the analysis, or extra room must …

Wireless Sensor Network Localization Based on Static Anchor Node
Abstract: Anchor-based localization is a crucial challenge in wireless sensor networks (WSNs), aiming to determine the positions of all sensors by leveraging a limited number of anchor nodes whose locations are known. In this paper, we propose a novel algorithm for anchor-based localization in a static network, which improves the localization accuracy while reducing the computational complexity compared to existing methods. Our algorithm uses a range-based approach to estimate the distances …

The Role of Adaptive Filters in Enhancing Acoustic Echo Cancellation Efficiency in Noisy Environments
Abstract: The novel approach that this work discusses is a DCD-based iterative learning filter approach improved with deep learning methodologies, designed to improve the efficiency of acoustic echo cancellation. The proposed system can really manage both linear and nonlinear echo scenarios, dynamically adapting to fluctuating acoustic environments. The above comparative evaluations with standard filter, the standard RLS filter, indicate that the mean square error, and the standard deviation of the correlation …

Performance of Some Modified Ordinary Ridge Regression Estimators
Abstract: In multiple linear regressions, if the data suffer from severe multicollinearity, then the ordinary least squares (OLS) method become more sensitive to it, and in such a case OLS could yield wrong sign for some of the regression coefficients. Therefore, when such a situation arises, we could use one of the biased regression methods viz., ridge regression, principal component regression, and so on, as an alternative method to OLS. This …

Modelling of Large Elasto-plastic Deformations by EFGM
Abstract: Current work reports modelling and simulation of geometric and material nonlinearities arising due large elasto-plastic displacements in structural specimens by invoking enriched element free Galerkin method (EFGM). The displacement approximations are constructed by using moving least square approach. Standard displacement based approximations are modified by incorporating suitable enrichment functions depending on the nature of interfaces present in the components. Large deformations give rise to geometric nonlinearities which have been modelled …
