Production, Optimization and Purification of Laccase Produced by Pleurotus ostreatus MH591763
Abstract: The optimization of production medium for laccase produced by Pleurotus ostreatus (Gene Bank Accession number MH591763) to reduce the cost of laccase production in large scale is the basic research in industrial field. In this study, the laccase culture medium was optimized for growth parameters such as incubation period, pH, temperature, carbon and nitrogen source on fungal growth and enzyme production. Purification and characterization of the enzyme was done by …

Laccase Production by Trametes hirsuta, Trametes pubescens and Marasmius alliaceus from Agricultural Residues and ITS Usage for Environmental Remediation
Abstract: Laccase has wide range of application in environmental remediation, but this is not produced in large amount due to its expenses in production. This study deals with the production of laccases from inexpensive lignocellulosic wastes such as rice straw, rice bran and banana skin. Marasmius alliaceus gave 1773.16 U/L laccase activities when rice straw was used as substrates and the activity reached by Trametes pubescens in banana skin is 1332 …

Characterization of Laccase Enzyme from Dye Degrading Bacterial Strains Isolated from Natural Sources
Abstract: The continuous growth in globalization and industrialization has increased the environmental pollution and one such major contaminant is various types of synthetic dyes. Microbial decolorization and degradation of these dyes through secretion of various extracellular enzymes is gaining importance owing to their eco-friendly nature. One such enzyme is laccase, a multicopper oxidase enzyme which has the ability to oxidize both phenolic and non-phenolic compounds through reduction of molecular oxygen to …

Purificaton and Characterization of Laccase from White-rot Fungi Ganoderma sp.
Abstract: The main objective of this project is to characterize and purify the laccase (benzenediol: oxygen oxidoreductase) enzyme from white-rot fungi Ganoderma sp. The enzymes is purified by ammonium sulphate precipitation and dialysis and further purified by column chromatography. This laccase is run on SDS-PAGE and molecular mass is determined. Finally physico-chemical properties like optimum pH; temperature, inhibition and substrate specificity of purified enzyme is also studied.

White-Rot Fungi-Based Bioprocessing for Circular Bioeconomy & Valorization of Lignocellulosic Waste
Abstract: The escalating global demand for sustainable resource management and the imperative to reduce dependence on fossil-based products have positioned the circular bioeconomy as a transformative paradigm for the 21st century. Lignocellulosic biomass, generated abundantly as agricultural and forestry residues, constitutes one of the most underexploited renewable carbon sources on Earth, yet its recalcitrant structure, interlinking cellulose, hemicellulose, and lignin, has long impeded its efficient valorization. White-rot fungi (WRF), predominantly belonging …

Isolation and Screening of Some Protease Producing Bacteria to Treat Paper and Pulp Effluent
Abstract: Industrial pollution is one of the most alarming threats to the environment and paper and pulp mill is one of the prime contributors to it. Paper and pulp mill effluent affects biotic and abiotic components of the environment. Different methods are being employed for the treatment, but the biological method is found to be more efficient in terms of colour removal and for reduction in the value of BOD, COD, …
