Breast Cancer Detection and Multiple Classification Using CNN
Abstract: Although some efforts have been made in the form of preventative screening programs, breast cancer remains one of the rising causes of death in women. Computer-assisted diagnosis is needed because of the rapidly increasing number of mammograms that can be collected by these programs. Performance metrics are not significantly improved by computer aided detection methods designed to improve diagnosis without a large number of sequential readings. In this context, self-imaging …

Drug-Induced Liver Injury: Hepatotoxicity and Treatment - A Literature Review
Abstract: Drug-induced liver injury (DILI) is a major clinical and regulatory challenge, posing risks to patient safety and drug development worldwide. As the primary organ responsible for xenobiotic metabolism, the liver is particularly susceptible to toxic injury from prescription drugs, over-the-counter medications, herbal products, and dietary supplements. Drug-induced liver injury (DILI) accounts for a substantial proportion of acute liver failure cases and remains a leading cause of post-marketing drug withdrawal. Its …

Cervical Leiomyomas: Age associated insights from 3 Year prospective study from Tertiary Care Hospital
Abstract: Cervical leiomyomas are rare benign smooth muscle tumours of cervix, often presenting diagnostic challenges due to their uncommon occurrence and overlapping features with other cervical pathologies. This is a 3-year prospective study involving a total of 460 female subjects who were diagnosed with various gynecologic complications, with a particular focus on cervical leiomyomas. The study aims to provide a comprehensive age-wise distribution of cervical leiomyomas, emphasizing the incidence and prevalence …

Orbital Cellular Angiofibroma: One of the Rarest Tumor in Pandora’s Box
Abstract: Orbital cellular angiofibroma is one of the rarest benign mesenchymal tumors and only two cases have been reported. It typically originates from the lower reproductive tract and does not show a gender or race preference. Total surgical resection is the suggested modality of treatment. Diagnosing tumors in rare anatomical locations can pose considerable challenges, especially when they share common histopathological characteristics with more common tumors. In such cases, achieving an …

Spinal Cord Compression Revealing a Spinal Osteochondroma
Abstract: Osteochondroma is a frequent cartilaginous tumor in adult, but the spinal localization is uncommon. They can be solitary or multiple (enchondromatosis) in the context of familial disease (MAFFUCCI syndrome). We report the case of a 27-years-old patient, hospitalized for progressive paraplegia. Medical imaging evokes the ostéochondroma diagnosis of the 5th dorsal vertebra. The histopathological findings confirmed the diagnosis. The patient was spectacularly recovered after surgery. Keywords: Benign bone tumor, osteochondroma, …

A Review of Literature on Breast Cancer: Molecular Insights, Clinical Approaches, and Future Perspectives
Abstract: Breast cancer is the leading cause of morbidity and mortality in women globally. Although both men and women can get the condition, women are more likely to get it, and its prevalence has been rising globally in recent years. The epidemiology, risk factors, pathophysiology, diagnosis, treatment options, and survival rates of breast cancer are all examined in this review of recent research. Section Cutting in Histopathology: An Update
Abstract: Histopathology is the microscopic examination of tissues to diagnose and study diseases, more significantly the diagnosis of cancer. It plays a pivotal role in modern medicine, serving as the gold standard for definitive diagnosis in a wide range of conditions. Through meticulous analysis of tissue morphology (structure) and cellular characteristics, histopathology provides crucial information for disease classification, staging, and guiding patient management. In the world of histopathology, where microscopic details …

A Case of Low-Grade Fibromyxoid Sarcoma: A Rare Soft Tissue Sarcoma
Abstract: Sarcomas are heterogeneous group of tumours that can occur throughout the body. Approximately two third of soft tissue sarcomas (STS) arises in the extremities. These rare tumours accounts for less than 1% cancers in adults. Treatment algorithm for STS depends on tumour stage, site and histology. A 28-year-male patient presented with complaint of swelling over the right anterior aspect of leg since past six months. He had a history of …

Shadows of Uncertainty: When Pneumonia Isn’t Pneumonia
Abstract: Pneumonia is a common medical condition encountered in hospitalized patients and remains a cause of morbidity worldwide. Identifying and initiating appropriate treatment in febrile patients who present with respiratory symptoms and radiographic infiltrates, reduce hospital stay, minimize complications, and lower healthcare costs. However, the assumption that every pulmonary infiltrate or opacity seen on a radiological imaging represents an infectious process such as pneumonia can lead to misdiagnosis, unnecessary investigations, prolonged …
