A POLYESTER RESIN COMPOSITE-BASED EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATION OF CHARCOAL PARTICLE REINFORCED GLASS FIBRE
Abstract: The mechanical characteristics of jute/E-glassfibre polyester composites were examined (AC) after theincorporation of activated carbon particles. The polyestermatrix was loaded with five different particle loading ratios(0, 5, 10, 15 and 20 percent). To increase the adhesion of jutefibres to the polyester matrix, they were treated in a NaOHsolution. Hardness, tensile, and water absorption tests wereperformed on polyester, Activated Carbon- filled polyesterand jute/E-glass fibers polyester with and without ActivatedCarbon filter. The …

Mechanical Property Assessment of Hybrid Fiber Reinforced Composites Through Experimental Research
Abstract: Natural fibre reinforced composites are gradually taking the place of synthetic fibre composites due to its inexpensive cost, low density, and ease of supply. Furthermore, the addition of some waste materials to composites has remarkable properties that are attracting interest from a wide range of technical domains. Fibre reinforced with glass, carbon, and jute were used to generate hybrid composites. As a filler, different amounts of eggshell powder were mixed …

Characterization of Glass/Jute Hybrid Fibre Reinforced Epoxy Composite for Axial Flow Fan Blade
Abstract: Traditionally axial flow fan blades were manufactured by using metal alloys, but with the increase in blade size the blades grew heavier resulting in more vibrations during its working. It is impossible to manufacture the metallic blades to close tolerances making it uneconomical. Due to this dimensional instability, the metallic impeller fan blades are instead fabricated with glass fiber reinforced plastics (GFRP). To reduce the after effects of GFRP blades …

Comparative Analysis of Natural and Synthetic Fibre-Reinforced Composites: Mechanical Properties, Processing, and Sustainability Considerations
Abstract: The development of fibre-reinforced composites has significantly advanced engineering applications due to their excellent strength-to-weight ratio, corrosion resistance, and versatility. Synthetic fibres such as glass and carbon provide superior mechanical performance, but their production is energy-intensive and environmentally harmful. Natural fibres, including jute, flax, banana, and hemp, offer biodegradability, lower cost, and sustainability benefits, though they often fall short in strength and durability. Hybrid composites frequently demonstrate improved performance by …

Multifunctional Lignin-Modified Jute/Bio-Epoxy Composites with MWCNT-Based Piezoresistive Self-Sensing for Sustainable Housing Applications
Abstract: This study develops a multifunctional natural-fibre-reinforced polymer composite based on alkali-treated jute fabric, bio-based epoxy, kraft lignin and a small amount of multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs), with particular emphasis on polymer-matrix modification, fibre–matrix interfacial behaviour and intrinsic damage sensing. Kraft lignin was incorporated at 0, 2, 4 and 6 wt.% to examine its influence on polymer-chain mobility, interfacial morphology, thermal stability and mechanical response, while 0.5 wt.% MWCNTs was introduced …
