Multicriteria Decision Making using SR-Fuzzy Sets
Abstract: In this study, we introduce and explore square-root fuzzy sets (SR-Fuzzy sets), a novel extension within the realm of fuzzy set theory. We begin by establishing a comparative analysis between SR-Fuzzy sets and two well-known fuzzy set models: Intuitionistic Fuzzy Sets (IFS) and Pythagorean Fuzzy Sets (PFS). This comparison highlights the unique characteristics and mathematical structure of SR-Fuzzy sets. A particular focus is placed on the complement operator, which plays …

Novel Distance Measure for Linear Diophantine Fuzzy Sets
Abstract: Unlike other fuzzy set theories, the theory of Linear Diophantine fuzzy set (LDFS) aims to overcome uncertainties via the reference parameters. The Parameters provide flexibility and efficiency to LDFS in handling the uncertain data. In this study, we introduce new distance measure for linear Diophantine fuzzy sets. Then, we studied the properties of proposed distance measure. Finally, we established a new similarity measure for LDFSs based on distance measure.

Optimizing Sampling Techniques Using Fuzzy Set Theory: A Comprehensive Approach
Abstract: Sampling is a critical process in statistics, used to estimate population parameters without needing to examine the entire population. Traditional sampling methods, such as simple random sampling, stratified sampling, and cluster sampling, face limitations when applied to complex or heterogeneous populations with imprecise boundaries. These methods often fail to accurately represent populations with overlapping characteristics or missing data, resulting in sampling bias and reduced accuracy. To address these challenges, this …

A New Approach to Hypersoft Sets and their Application in Decision Making
Abstract: An uncertainty based model, parallel to the soft set (SS) model introduced by Molodtsov, was proposed by Smarandache in the form of hypersoft sets (HSS). The basic characteristic of both these models is that these are parametrized family of sets which are induced by the parameters involved. However, Smarandache had left open the basic operation on HSS. In this paper, we first redefine HSS using the characteristic function based approach, …

A Survey on Multiobjective Decision Making on Vague Sets
Abstract: This paper provides report of a survey on the vague sets and also multiobjective decision making. As a further fuzzy set theory generalization, the vague set theory can overcome the fuzzy set shortcomings through defining the membership from two different sides of both FALSE and TRUE, rather than only through a value of a single membership. MCDM approach has evolved to accommodate numerous application types. Methods dozens have been developed, …

A novel similarity measure for interval value picture fuzzy Environment and extended TOPSIS
Abstract: Correct decision-making is the most arduous task in our daily life. The decisions are hard to make in the multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) problems due to ambiguous and unexpected information. In order to cope with such uncertainties in the data, a new decision-making approach has been developed using a newly defined similarity measure under the framework of interval-valued picture fuzzy set (IVPFS), as an extension of picture fuzzy sets (PFS). Enhancement of Digital Mammograms Using Intuitionistic Fuzzy Entropy Function
Abstract: A novel intuitionistic fuzzy entropy-based algorithm is developed for increasing the contrast of digital mammograms. The contrast enhancement helps in the early detection of masses and microcalcification in tissues thus paving the way for the auxiliary diagnosis of breast cancer. The current techniques for the enhancement of digital mammograms do not consider the uncertainty in pixel intensities of mammograms. The proposed technique aims at enhancing the mammograms using intuitionistic fuzzy …
