Structure–Property Correlation of Infill Topology and Density on Tensile and Flexural Performance of FDM-Printed PLA and ABS
Abstract: Additive Manufacturing (AM), particularly Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM), has become a widely adopted manufacturing technology due to its design flexibility, low cost, and capability for rapid prototyping. However, the mechanical performance of FDM-printed components is strongly influenced by internal structural parameters such as infill pattern and infill density, in addition to the intrinsic material behaviour. This study investigates the structure–property relationship between infill topology, density, and mechanical performance of PLA …

Flexural Vibration of Non-Uniform Beam on Bi-Parametric Foundation Under Harmonic Moving Load with Non-Classical Boundary Conditions
Abstract: The dynamic response to harmonically varying moving loads of non-uniform elastic beam resting on bi-parametric foundation with non-classical boundary condition, time dependent in particular is examined in this paper. Here, the beam is considered non-uniform, with the moment of inertia and the distributed mass varying continuously along the span L as functions of the position 𝑥. In order to guarantee a more stable structure and a reduce risk of resonance, …

Dynamic Analysis of Honeycomb Sandwich Laminated Composite Plate using ANSYS
Abstract: A structural sandwich is a peculiar form of a laminated composite comprising of a combination of distinct materials which are bonded together to use effectively the properties of each separate component to the structural advantage of the whole assembly. Two thin, rigid and quite strong faces in the framework are partitioned by a thick, light and weaker core. The faces are attached adhesively to the core to ensure effective load …

Optimal Dosage of Pumice in Lightweight Aggregate based Concrete
Abstract: Lightweight concrete (LWC) is a pioneering solution in the construction sector, characterized by its unique composition and versatile applications. Engineered with lightweight aggregates and additives, LWC achieves a significant reduction in dry density compared to conventional concrete, making it 23% to 87% lighter, with densities ranging from 300 to 1,840 kg/m³. This reduced weight makes LWC ideal for projects requiring load minimization, such as high-rise buildings and prefabricated elements. A …

Effect of Carbon Nanotube on Mechanical Properties of Jute Fibre Reinforced Polyester Composite
Abstract: The current study studies how carbon nanotubes affect the mechanical characteristics of polyester composites reinforced with jute fiber, both treated and unprocessed. Alkali was used to cure jute textiles. Composites with treated and untreated jute fibre with 5%, 10% and 15% jute fibre loading with and without carbon nanotube were prepared using hand lay-up process. Carbon nanotubes varied from 0.2%, 0.4% and 0.6%. Tensile, flexural, and strength of impact all …
