Magnetic Metal–Polymer Composites with Ferromagnetic Particle Networks for EMI Shielding in Flexible Electronics
Abstract: The rapid expansion of flexible and wearable electronic systems has intensified the demand for lightweight, mechanically compliant materials capable of effective electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding. In this study, magnetic metal–polymer composites with magnetically aligned ferromagnetic particle networks were developed and systematically investigated for EMI shielding in flexible electronics. Thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) was employed as an elastomeric polymer matrix due to its excellent flexibility, dielectric characteristics, and compatibility with particulate fillers. …

Integrative Machine Learning Approaches for Predicting the Rheological Behaviour of Soft Magnetorheological Elastomers
Abstract: Magnetorheological Elastomers (MREs) are advanced composite materials known for their ability to alter mechanical properties under external magnetic fields, making them highly valuable in adaptive damping systems, vibration control, and smart devices. The accurate prediction of rheological behavior in soft MREs remains a significant challenge due to the complex interplay between material composition and magnetic fields. To address this challenge, this study employs a multi-pronged approach that integrates traditional material …

Experimental Investigation into Surface Roughness of Polished Zinc Plate with Ultrasonic Vibration Using Single Pole Magnetic Abrasive Finishing
Abstract: This research investigates how applying ultrasonic vibrations influences the surface finish quality of zinc plates when using the Single Pole Magnetic Abrasive Finishing (SP-MAF) method. In SP-MAF, magnetic abrasive particles (MAPs)—amalgamation of ferromagnetic and abrasive materials—are guided by a magnetic field to achieve precise surface finishing. Introducing ultrasonic vibration improves the effectiveness of the flexible magnetic abrasive brush (FMAB), which forms as the MAPs align along the magnetic field lines. …

Fabrication and Mechanical Characterization of Hybrid Natural Fiber Reinforced Composites using Ferromagnetic and Graphite Fillers
Abstract: The past few years have seen a lot of interest in the creation of hybrid natural fiber composites because of their lightweight properties, environmental friendliness and their potential use in structures. The hybrid composite laminates in the current study were produced by the hand lay-up process by blending the natural fibers with the functional filler materials. Three types of composite structures were created and these are Natural Composite Material (NCM), …

A Comprehensive Study of ZnxFe2-xO3 Nanoparticles: Assessing Magnetic Properties for Medical Imaging (MI)
Abstract: Diluted magnetic ZnxFe2-xO3 nanoparticles are special semiconducting nanoparticles which are recognized for their magnetic properties. A theoretical examination of Zn-doped αFe2O3 nanostructures reveals a range of structural and property variations, offering insights into their potential applications and behavior at the nanoscale. In this regard, Heisenberg’s model and Weiss molecular filed theory is used to describe the magnetic properties of ZnxFe2-xO3 nanoparticles. These theorems inevitably enable to investigate the relationship between …

Comparative Study of Structural, Optical, Morphological, and Magnetic Properties of BifeO3 Nanoparticles Synthesized Via Green and Chemical Methods
Abstract: BiFeO3 nanoparticles were synthesized via a green route using Strychnos nux-vomica leaf extract and a conventional chemical sol–gel method to study the effect of synthesis routes on their properties. XRD analysis confirmed phase-pure rhombohedral BiFeO3 for both samples. FTIR analysis was carried out to confirm the formation of the perovskite structure and to detect surface functional groups. FESEM analysis indicated a significant effect of phytochemicals in controlling particle growth and …

Multifunctional and Photocatalytic Properties of DyFeO₃/Dy₃Fe₅O₁₂ Biphasic Nanoparticles
Abstract: Rare-earth orthoferrites constitute a class of compounds that exhibit remarkable magnetic, optical, and electronic properties across a wide temperature range. In the present study, a dysprosium-based orthoferrite containing dual phases of DyFeO₃ perovskite and Dy₃Fe₅O₁₂ garnet was successfully synthesized via the co-precipitation technique. X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis was employed to investigate the structural configuration of the synthesized material. The diffraction pattern confirmed the formation of a biphasic composite comprising orthorhombic …

The Effect of Rare Earth (RE) Metal Doping of Zno, On Magnetic and Optical Properties of Zno Crystals Structure
Abstract: The magnetic and optical properties of magnetic semiconductors relays on the crystal structure, type and amount of dopant ions, and particle size. Then, the effect of rare earth metal (Dy, Eu, and La) doping on crystal structures, magnetic properties and optical properties are seen. It is revealed that the optical band gap of ZnO decrease down from 3.37eV up on doping with RE metals. Then, the Hamiltonian of the system …

Aluminium-Doped Zinc Ferrite Nanoparticles Synthesized by Combustion Method for Polymer Composite Applications
Abstract: ZnFe₂₋xAlₓO₄ (x = 0 and 0.5) nanoparticles were synthesized via a combustion method owing to its simplicity, cost efficiency, and ability to produce highly crystalline nanomaterials. Powder X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis confirmed the formation of a single-phase cubic spinel structure without detectable secondary phases, indicating high phase purity. The average crystallite size was estimated to be in the range of 14–20 nm, confirming the nanocrystalline nature of the samples. Field-emission …
