Study of the Hammett equation for oxidation of 2 – Hydroxy – 1 - Naphthalidene Anil and para substituted chloroanils by potassium bromate in acid medium
Abstract: The kinetics of oxidation of the Schiff base and its substituted anils by potassium bromate in aquo-acetic acid medium has been studied in this work. The study of thermodynamic parameters is done, and the rate constants for the reaction are determined. The plot of log{ks/k0} against the substituent constant (ï³ ) is plotted for para and meta substitution and the reaction constant (ï²) is calculated. The plot of ï„H against …

The thermodynamic studies of 6-(4-chlorophenyl)-1, 2, 3, 4-tetrahydro-2,4-dioxopyrimidine-5-carbonitrile in 60% DMSO in the temperature range 298 to 313 K
Abstract: Densities and viscosities of 6-(4-chlorophenyl)-1, 2, 3, 4-tetrahydro-2,4-dioxopyrimidine-5-carbonitrile have been measured at different concentration in 60% dimethyl sulphoxide (DMSO) in the temperature range 298 to 313 K. The John-Dole equation was used to determine the viscosity. Gibb’s free energy (∆G), entropy change (∆S) and enthalpy change (∆H) were evaluated from relative viscosity . The negative sign of ∆G and ∆H and positive sign of ∆S indicates the spontaneity of reaction …

Entropy Analysis of EEG between Alcoholic and Control Subjects during Visual Stimulus Perception
Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to examine the variation in the EEG signal recorded from a group of individual, who were subjected under the effect of alcoholism while comparing them to non-alcoholic or controlled state. For the purpose, EEG from individuals was processed while subjects were perceiving visual picture stimulus from Snodgrass and Vanderwart picture set. A total of 10 trials for each subject have been considered in matched/non-matched …

Multi-Response Optimization of Turning Parameters with Vikor-Entropy Method on Machining of AA6061-TiB2 In-Situ Composites
Abstract: In the manufacturing and metal cutting industries, the quality of the surface and strength is essential in defining the surface finish; an excellent surface finish indicates excellent quality in the product. The influence of machining parameters speed, feed and depth of cut on responses like material removal rate, surface roughness and Power consumption on turning of AA6061-TiB2 composites is investigated using the VIKOR-ENTROPY method. The effects of changing parameters on …

Corrosion and Corrosion Protection of Cast iron due to Bio-organism
Abstract: Cast iron is a high tensile strength metal. It is generally used for making tools, pipe fitting, electrical fitting equipment and rail track. It interacts with corrosive substances to develop electrochemical cell on their interface. Corrosive substances are acids, bases, salts, bio-wastes, particulates and pollutants. These substances produce hostile medium for materials. These harmful wastes discharge by industries, households, agricultural, urbanization, development of infrastructure, construction works, thermal power stations, hydropower, …

Image-Based Evaluation of Implant Tissue Interface Integrity in Polymer Orthopaedic Devices
Abstract: Polymer orthopedic implants offer radiolucency and mechanical compatibility with bone, but long-term success depends on maintaining a stable implant–tissue interface. Routine imaging is widely available for follow-up, yet interface integrity is commonly judged qualitatively, limiting early detection of fixation compromise and reducing comparability across devices and time points. This work presents an image-based methodology to quantify interface integrity by extracting interpretable interface descriptors from a standardized interface belt around the …

Impact of Shape, Size and Crystal Structure on Vacancy Related Properties of Gold Nanoparticles
Abstract: It is necessary to consider defects to explain the electron movement, thermal transport and mechanical properties of materials. In the present study, a simple quantitative model for cohesive energy of nanoparticles is extended to determine the size, shape and crystal structure effect on vacancy formation energy, vacancy entropy, and vibrational frequency in free surface Au nanoparticles. Vacancy entropy variation with size has been studied for spherical, regular octahedral, regular hexahedral …

ML Associated DoS and DDoS Attack Observation in Protection
Abstract: DoS and DDoS assaults are significant risks to the availability and integrity of online services and networks. Attack traffic might come from a variety of geographical regions, making it difficult to filter and neutralize the attack. DDoS attacks are far more sophisticated and powerful than DoS attacks. They use a network of compromised devices, known as a botnet, to launch a coordinated attack on a target. Monitoring and evaluating the …

Corrosion and Corrosion Protection of Unio in Carbonic Acid Medium
Abstract: Unio is a calciferous animal, and its outer surface is made of calcium carbonate. It usually happens in sources of sweet water. They create carbonic acid by absorbing carbon dioxide. It changes the pH of sweet water sources thus water becomes acidic. It develops corrosive environment for Unio. Carbonic acid interacts with Unio to form corrosion cells on the interface of Unio. This acid oxidizes calcium carbonate into calcium ions …
