Thermo-Fluid Characterization of Corrugated U-Tube Shell-and-Tube Heat Exchanger with Polymer Composite Tube Wall: A Combined CFD and Experimental Investigation
Abstract: Shell-and-tube heat exchangers built with metallic tubes work well thermally, but corrosion problems, extra weight, and the inability to adjust the wall’s thermal properties through material choice remain genuine engineering headaches, particularly for corrosive or weight-critical applications. Over the past few years there has been a fair amount of interest in replacing metal tubes with polymer composite alternatives, since blending thermally conductive fillers — graphite nanoplatelets, boron nitride platelets and …

Low Velocity Impact Behaviour of Corrugated Foam Sandwich Panel
Abstract: Composite sandwich structures, renowned for their high flexural stiffness and low weight, are widely used across industries such as aerospace, automotive, and marine. However, their durability can be compromised by impact-related damages, which affect both the core and face sheets. This study explores the performance of corrugated sandwich panels compared to conventional designs under low-velocity impacts. Using a drop weight impact testing machine, panels made from polyurethane foam cores and …

A Novel Technique for Improvement in Front-to-Back Ratio of MSA for WLAN/WiMAX using Corrugated Dielectric Substrate as a Reflector
Abstract: In this paper the design of a microstrip antenna (MSA) with corrugated dielectric reflector is proposed to improve the front-to-back ratio (FBR) and reduce the back lobes in radiation pattern of the antenna. The designed antenna operates at 5.8 GHz and simulated on CSTMWS’10 software. Simulation results show that proposed antenna has 21.8 dB higher FBR than that of conventional MSA.

Environment- friendly Pavement Construction Using Plastic Trash and Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement-An Overview
Abstract: Plastic pollution has emerged as a significant environmental concern, with detrimental effects on ecosystems and human health. As a waste product contaminating air, water, and land, plastic poses a grave threat to the environment, perpetuating a global crisis. Its non-biodegradable nature means that once produced, plastic persists indefinitely, accumulating in landfills, water bodies, and natural habitats. This widespread accumulation of plastic waste not only compromises the aesthetic value of landscapes …
