Analysis on Water Quality of Cauvery and Bhavani River for its Seasonal Variation at Bhavani
Abstract: Abstract Cauvery river is one of the significant sources of water supply for domestic, agricultural and industrial usage in Tamil Nadu. In spite of large scale utilization of the river water, poor water management has resulted in large scale degradation of the quality of water. Hence, a detailed study has been attempted in the Cauvery river, and one of its major tributary Bhavani river between the latitude 11°26′4.51″N to 11°28′39.09″N …

The climate change analysis on water resources over western Ghat by deficit calculation method
Abstract: The objective of this work is to study the extreme hydrological events and climate change impact on water resources over western Ghat. The western ghat is spread over the area 140 thousand square kilometers and 2600 meter of average elevation. The 1600 Km long western ghat is biodiversity hotspot and home of different species it also forms the catchment which drains over one-third of India. To analyze the extreme hydrological …

PHYSIOCHEMICAL ANALYSIS OF WASTE WATER COLLECTED FROM THREE MAJOR RIVERS IN MONSOON SEASON FROM PALAKKAD
Abstract: Various waste management techniques were implemented in India have failed due to various reasons, the major reasons are industrial growth and urbanization. The pollution impacts on aquatic communities can be observed directly to the industrialized centres, which discharges series of chemical pollutants to effluent systems.. These wastes mainly encompasses a broad range of contaminants such as petroleum hydrocarbons, chlorinated hydrocarbons and heavy metals, various acids, alkalis, dyes and other chemicals …

Potential Site Suitability Analysis for Wind Farm Development Using GIS and Multi-Criteria Analysis
Abstract: The energy consumption of most developing countries like Ethiopia highly depends on biomass and imported fuels. These sources of energy have imposed severe impacts on the environment.Recently, Ethiopia has begun to harness electricity from renewable energies mainly from hydro- dams to meet its energy need. However, the existing energy production of the hydro-dams declines during dry season due to shortage of river waters. So, it is important to look for …
