Conceptual Design and Validation of Working of the Wing Morphing Mechanism Using Bellows
Abstract: The research on creating a smooth seamless wing which can literally morph its shape in mid-flight like birds has been in progress for many years. Such a wing will greatly enhance the flying capabilities of a normal aircraft. The wing can be morphed at different speeds to increase greater fuel efficiency. Our new design tends to create such a design without interfering with structural integrity of the wing. Keywords: Morphing …

Fluid-Structure Interaction Analysis of a Rubber Bellow Segment made of Hyper Elastic Material
Abstract: Fluid-structure interaction (FSI) is the interaction of a moveable and/or deformable structure that is immersed in a fluid and/or contains a fluid. Motion of the structure causes a change in the fluid’s stresses that act on the structure’s wetted surface, which in turn causes a change in the structure’s motion. The present research analyses the deformation produced in a hyper elastic rubber bellow segment due to the pressure generated by …

Utilization of Recron Fibers for Improving Subgrade Stability of Expansive Soils
Abstract: The major interest in the utilization of synthetic fibers is used as reinforcing material for developing reinforcing effect into the entire soil composition laid bellow the structures whare as construction works are going on. Various articles are published on soil reinforcement, yet some of them fibers used are prepared by using with synthetic materials, one type of synthetic fibers were Recron fiber it is used as a reinforcing element to …
