Fluid-structure interaction (FSI) is the interaction of a moveable and/or deformable structure that is immersed in a fluid and/or contains a fluid. Motion of the structure causes a change in the fluid’s stresses that act on the structure’s wetted surface, which in turn causes a change in the structure’s motion. The present research analyses the deformation produced in a hyper elastic rubber bellow segment due to the pressure generated by flow of fluid inside it. To solve the problem, fluid surface interaction (FSI) concept is used by coupling the Ansys fluent software with Ansys structural for importing the solution and analyzing the effect of CFD analysis on static structural analysis. The research includes modeling the overall system by an optimized and validated fluid dynamics concept and calculating effective engineering properties with system simulation.
