Historical X-Ray on Barrier to Girls Right to Education in Northern Nigeria
Abstract: This paper focuses on exploring the barrier to girls right to education in northern Nigeria. The paper analyzed that girls are discriminated in many aspects of life; it is belief that the girls are second-class citizen or mere infidel. These bring tremendous misrepresentation of girls and women from both family, schools, institution and the society in general. The paper used secondary sources of data and suggested that educational barrier, socio-economic, …

A Sol-Gel Approach for the Fabrication of Zinc Oxide Nanoparticles and Their Nanocomposite with Urea Formaldehyde (UF)
Abstract: In the performed work, zinc oxide nanoparticles were synthesized via the sol-gel method using zinc sulphate as the precursor material. Urea-formaldehyde (UF) resin was employed as a polymer matrix to encapsulate the produced ZnO through an acid-catalyzed polymerization process. This encapsulation aimed to improve the dispersion stability and surface reactivity of ZnO within the polymeric medium. The synthesized materials were subjected to comprehensive characterization using Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FT-IR), …

Multifunctional and Photocatalytic Properties of DyFeO₃/Dy₃Fe₅O₁₂ Biphasic Nanoparticles
Abstract: Rare-earth orthoferrites constitute a class of compounds that exhibit remarkable magnetic, optical, and electronic properties across a wide temperature range. In the present study, a dysprosium-based orthoferrite containing dual phases of DyFeO₃ perovskite and Dy₃Fe₅O₁₂ garnet was successfully synthesized via the co-precipitation technique. X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis was employed to investigate the structural configuration of the synthesized material. The diffraction pattern confirmed the formation of a biphasic composite comprising orthorhombic …

Innovative Porcelain Insulators: Prolonged Durability and Anti-Contamination Efficiency via Nano-TiO2 Photocatalyst Integration
Abstract: Porcelain has long been a critical material in high-voltage electrical insulation due to its exceptional mechanical, thermal, and dielectric properties. However, environmental contamination and material degradation over time pose significant challenges to its durability. This study investigates the integration of nano-sized titanium dioxide (TiO2) photocatalyst coatings on porcelain insulators to enhance their performance and prolong their operational lifespan. Local clay compositions were analyzed, and a comparative study of untreated and …

Petrographic and Geochemical Characteristics of Deccan Trap Basalts from Belagavi, Karnataka, India
Abstract: The Deccan Trap volcanic province represents one of the largest continental flood basalt provinces in the world and provides significant insights into magma generation and evolution processes. The present study focuses on the petrography and geochemistry of basalts from the Belagavi region, which forms part of the southern extension of the Deccan volcanic province. Petrographic analysis of thin sections reveals that the basalts are mainly composed of plagioclase feldspar and …

Raman Spectroscopy for The Determination of Relative Crystallinity of Carbon Fibers
Abstract: Analogous to X-ray diffraction technique, the light scattering technique discovered by Sir CV Raman has great potential in quantifying the crystallinity of new materials, like the highly crystalline pitch based carbon fibers (NX90 and NX100). For comparison the Raman spectra of polyacrylonitrile based carbon fibers (T700SC) were also recorded. From the Raman spectral analysis, it was found that the pitch based carbon fibers exhibit far far higher degree of crystallinity …

Reactivity of Monochlorotetrakis2-Isopropylphenoxoniobium(V), [NbCl(OC6H4CH(CH3)2-2)4] towards Chelating Ligands
Abstract: The niobium(V) complexes with the formula [NbCl(OC₆H₄CH(CH₃)₂-2)₄] were successfully synthesized in high yields through the reaction of niobium pentachloride with four equivalent amounts of 2-isopropylphenol in carbon tetrachloride. The synthesized complexes were characterized and confirmed by elemental analysis, molar conductance measurements, infrared (IR) spectroscopy, ^1H and ^13C NMR spectroscopy, as well as mass spectrometric analysis. The spectroscopic studies have shown these to exhibit dimeric structures bridging through isopropylphenoxo groups. The …
