The Poisson–Uma Distribution with Properties and Applications to Model Thunderstorm Events
Abstract: The discrete data available in any field of knowledge is influenced by several known and unknown factors and the factors which affect the discrete data are stochastic. The stochastic nature of discrete data is a challenge for statisticians to model and analyze with the existing discrete distributions. In the present paper, Poisson-Uma distribution, the Poisson compound of Uma distribution, has been proposed to model over-dispersed data of thunderstorm events. The …

Perfect Numbers: Computational and Technical Exploration
Abstract: This paper explores perfect numbers, by getting into their historical significance and computational journey from ancient times to the present day. The discussion covers the mathematical definition of perfect numbers, their importance in number theory, and the major milestones in their discovery. Also, it elaborates how the coders are using their skillsets to identify new perfect numbers and the transforming outcome of getting more and more perfect numbers found. By …

Aluminium-Doped Zinc Ferrite Nanoparticles Synthesized by Combustion Method for Polymer Composite Applications
Abstract: ZnFe₂₋xAlₓO₄ (x = 0 and 0.5) nanoparticles were synthesized via a combustion method owing to its simplicity, cost efficiency, and ability to produce highly crystalline nanomaterials. Powder X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis confirmed the formation of a single-phase cubic spinel structure without detectable secondary phases, indicating high phase purity. The average crystallite size was estimated to be in the range of 14–20 nm, confirming the nanocrystalline nature of the samples. Field-emission …
