An Insightful Study on SMEDDS Challenges and Potential Strategies
Abstract: Self-microemulsifying drug delivery systems (SMEDDS) have gained attention as an effective approach to enhance the bioavailability of poorly water-soluble drugs. They are innovative lipid-based formulations designed to enhance the solubility, bioavailability, and therapeutic efficacy of poorly water-soluble drugs. The development of SMEDDS involves systematic selection of components based on solubility and emulsification efficiency, followed by optimization of ratios using pseudo-ternary phase diagrams. The resulting formulations are evaluated for droplet size, …

The Analysis of Deep Learning-Based Methods for Identifying Diabetic Retinopathy
Abstract: Diabetic retinopathy (DR) is a degenerative eye condition resulting from diabetes mellitus, where high blood glucose levels lead to lesions on the retina. This condition is considered the leading cause of blindness among working-age diabetic patients, particularly in developing countries. As the disease is irreversible, the treatment aims to preserve the patient’s current vision. Early detection is crucial for effective management of DR to maintain vision. One of the main …

Bioconjugates and Biohybrid Polymers: Intricate Cellular Integration Methods and Sophisticated Biofunctionalization Techniques for Tailored Properties in Medical Contexts
Abstract: Bioconjugates are made when biological molecules are covalently linked to manufactured polymers. They can be used in many ways for imaging, diagnosis, and specific drug delivery. Getting perfect cellular fusion is very important for how well they work. Biomolecules can be attached to polymer scaffolds in a controlled way using techniques like click chemistry and site-specific conjugation. This makes sure that the molecules connect optimally with their biological targets. Using …
