Analysis and Design of Pre-Engineering Building Structure by Using Staad Pro Software
Abstract: The analysis and design of a Pre-Engineered Building (PEB) were conducted using STAAD Pro software, alongside manual calculations for accurate load estimation, to ensure the building's compliance with relevant engineering standards and codes. The evaluation took into account multiple load types, including dead loads, live (imposed) loads, wind loads, and relevant load combinations to replicate actual conditions the structure might face during its lifespan. This comprehensive approach provided a deep …

Structural Load Evaluation of a Low-Rise Residential Building (G+4) Using STAAD.Pro: A Review
Abstract: The structural analysis and design of multi-story residential buildings have become more complex because cities continue to grow while safety requirements become more demanding and building codes establish stricter requirements. The traditional methods of structural analysis worked through manual execution which required extended periods to complete and suffered from computational errors that primarily affected indeterminate structures and lateral loading conditions. This review paper providesa detailed evaluation of previous works related …

Dynamic Analysis of Irregular Building with Box Type Shear Wall at Center under Different Type of Soil
Abstract: Building engineers are being shown to accept High rise construction due to increase shortage and land cost. The development of high-rise buildings presents many challenges with the type of lateral load. In High rise buildings getting better efficiency and the high-strength shear wall is an effective solution. The Optimum location of the shear wall depends upon the structural shape of buildings. For irregular structures, inner shear walls provide more strength …

Codal Validation and Optimization of Gantry Girders Under Variable Wheelbase and Impact Loads: A Review of Analytical, Numerical, and Codal Approaches
Abstract: Gantry girders serve as critical structural elements in industrial facilities such as steel plants, workshops, and heavy manufacturing units, where electric overhead traveling (EOT) cranes operate. The design of these girders is governed by stringent codal provisions to ensure safety under bending, shear, and deflection. However, discrepancies between codal predictions, analytical formulations, and finite element analysis (FEA) results, particularly under variable wheelbase and dynamic impact loads, have been widely reported. …

Application of Artificial Neural Networks in Optimizing Polyhouse Roof Truss Design
Abstract: Polyhouses are specialised agricultural structures developed to maintain controlled environmental conditions for crop cultivation, thereby ensuring consistent productivity even under adverse climatic circumstances. The performance of these systems largely relies on the structural stability and cost efficiency of the roof truss, which must achieve an effective balance between strength, adaptability, and economy. In this research, an Artificial Neural Network (ANN)-based modelling framework is introduced to optimise the members of polyhouse …

Comparative Performance Assessment of Shear Wall and Diagrid Systems in an Octagonal Tall High-Rise Building under Seismic and Wind Loads
Abstract: The increasing demand for high-rise structures due to rapid urbanization necessitates the adoption of efficient lateral load-resisting systems to ensure structural safety, stability, and serviceability. This study presents a comparative evaluation of the seismic and wind performance of a Ground plus Fiftystorey high-rise building with an octagonal plan, incorporating different structural configurations such as shear wall arrangements and a diagrid system. A total of six analytical models, including a conventional …
