Microstrip Planar Broadband Yagi-Uda Antenna for X-Band Communication
Abstract: In this paper, a planar Yagi-Uda antenna based on classic Yagi-Uda dipole antenna is accessible which is very useful for microwave wireless applications. This antenna provides relatively high gain and more directive radiation pattern at X frequency band with proper impedance matching. This antenna has been developed at supporting dielectric constant of 4.4, supported substrate thickness of 1.6 mm and loss tangent of 0.02. The proposed antenna is completely compatible …

Analysis of Swastika (Mythological Symbol) Shaped Split-Ring Resonators and Complementary Split-Ring Resonators Coupled to Planar Microstrip Transmission Lines and Microstrip Patch Antenna
Abstract: AbstractHere in this paper, we have developed a new kind of metamaterial unit cell in the shape of a Hindu mythological symbol ‘Swastik’. Here we designed and analyzed the behavior of split ring resonators (SRRs), complementary split ring resonators (CSRRs) and microstrip transmission line. Here we also investigated the electromagnetic behavior of microstrip transmission line coupled with metamaterial unit cells. The proposed analysis is useful to design the compact microwave …

Design of Ultra-Wide Band Slotted PIFA for Wireless Devices
Abstract: The design of an ultra-wideband planar inverted-F antenna (PIFA) is proposed for mobile phone applications in this paper. The different slots are introduced on radiating patch and ground plane. The volume of the radiating antenna is 40x40x3.5 mm3 which is small as compared to reported work. The ultra-wide bandwidth with acceptable return loss –6 dB is obtained from 4.6 to 30 GHz with good matching and radiation characteristics. Different performance …

High Gain Antenna Array (2x1 and 4x1) Design for WLAN Application
Abstract: Micro-strip antennas became very popular in 1970s primarily for space borne applications. Today they are used for government and commercial applications. These antennas consist of a metallic patch on a grounded substrate. The metallic patch can take many different configurations. However, the rectangular and circular patches are most popular because of ease of analysis and fabrication, and their attractive radiation characteristics, especially low cross-polarization radiation. In high performance aircraft, spacecraft, …
