Plant-Drive Natural Filler Filled Polypropylene Composites: Effects of Filler Treatment, Filler Content and Nanoclay on Properties
Abstract: In this study, PP was blended with nanoclay at three different loadings of 1, 3, and 5 wt%, while maleated polypropylene (PPM) was added at 5 wt%. The results showed that PP nanocomposites prepared at 5% PPM and 3% nanoclay showed optimum mechanical performance. In this research, untreated and chemically treated peanut shell flour (PSF) reinforced PP nanocomposites were prepared at four different loadings of 10, 20, 30, and 40 …

Simulation of Complex Camera Motion Paths for Image Stabilization
Abstract: Image stabilization (IS) is a family of techniques used to reduce blurring like effects associated with the motion of a camera during exposure. Specifically, it compensates for pan and tilt (angular movement, equivalent to yaw and pitch) of a camera. These camera motions are combinations of basic movements like linear horizontal or vertical motions, circular motion or sometimes arbitrary motions. In true sense motion blur generated by these motions is …

A Review on Various Image and Video Restoration Techniques
Abstract: Reconstruction of low value deteriorated image into high quality improved image is termed as image restoration. The sight of this paper is to have knowledge about mixed restoration techniques like, average filter, median filter, wiener filter, blind de-convolution, and wavelet transform etc. The basis of restoration is to undo the operation of degraded image. There are many grounds because of which degradation takes place like, poor weather conditions, camera misfocus, …

Drinking Water Problems and Possible Alternatives in Coastal Region of Bangladesh: A Case Study
Abstract: Safe drinking water for the coastal areas of Bangladesh has become a big challenge. Arsenic adulteration and salinity intrusion in surface water body has accelerated the scarcity of water in the coastal region. As situation ameliorating and also investment for water-borne diseases is decreasing, it becomes the major threat for a third-world country like Bangladesh. There are lots of alternatives for water supply but there are also a huge number …

A Novel Blind Restoration Technique Using Different Edge Detection Methods
Abstract: Image restoration is a field of image processing in which we recover an original image from a degraded image. Objective of this paper is to compare different blurred and noisy images which are reconstructed with the help of blind deconvolution algorithm using different edge detection methods such as Canny, Sobel, Prewitt, Roberts, Laplacian. Initially original image is blurred using Gaussian filter. After that in the edges of blurred image ringing …

Antioxidant activity of Passiflora foetida leaf extracts and silver nanoparticles in diabetic induced rats
Abstract: The anti-oxidant system present in our body prevents against the free radicals. Anti-oxidants were glutathione peroxidise, serum catalase, vitamin E, ascorbic acid and superoxide. In our study the plant extract of Passiflora foetidae were used to estimate the antioxidant levels in diet-induced diabetic rats. The mean of glutathione peroxide of normal rats was 92.98±1.65. "The mean of diet-induced diabetic rats was 152.50 ± 1.92*. Diabetic rats treated with sitagliptin and vildagliptin had …

Morphological and Dielectric Relaxation Responses of Polymer Stabilized Ferroelectric Liquid Crystal Composite Films
Abstract: Polymer-stabilized ferroelectric liquid crystal (GH-PSFLC) composite films have been prepared by polymerization-induced phase separation (PIPS) process as a function of polymer concentration. Epoxy polymer was homogeneously dispersed into FLC host matrix to create fibril network in the composite films. Twisted fibril-like network was observed through polarizing optical microscope through transmission mode. Dielectric relaxation spectroscopy of these composites shows that real part of permittivity decreases with polymer concentration. Goldstone relaxation mode …
