Synthesis and Characterization of PF-127 Stabilized Metformin Encapsulated Chitosan-TPP Nanoparticles
Abstract: Metformin is widely used to manage Type 2 Diabetes, but its effectiveness is limited by low intestinal absorption, high dose requirements, and a short half-life. To tackle these challenges, several nano-drug delivery systems have been designed to optimize the delivery of metformin and enhance its therapeutic efficacy. Nanoparticles (NPs) have emerged as key players in medicine, biology, and pharmacology, gaini considerable attention for their potential applications. Polymeric NPs are among …

Authentication of a Rapid RP-HPLC technique for Quantification of Remogliflozin and Metformin in Medicinal Formulations
Abstract: A new, precise, and stability-assessing advanced liquid chromatography (HPLC) technique for simultaneous quantification of Remogliflozin and Metformin in fixed dose pharmaceutical formulations was designed and verified. Optimization of the technique was carried out on flowing phase composed of ethanenitrile and buffer, under isocratic conditions, the resolution of peak being sharp with retention times of 3.24 min and 4.89 min for Remogliflozin and Metformin, respectively. Technology suitability was confirmed by the …

Practical approach for Type 2 Diabetes: Role of DPP4 Inhibitors
Abstract: Dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitors (DPP-4Is) have become essential in managing type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) due to their ability to enhance incretin hormone activity, which promotes insulin secretion and inhibits glucagon release. These agents effectively lower HbA1c levels by 0.5–1.0%, are weight-neutral, and have a low risk of hypoglycemia, making them suitable for a broad patient population, including the elderly. The antidiabetic market in India is vast. Gliptin as group row …
