Variation of Meteorological Parameters and their Influence on Tropospheric Surface Radio Refractivity in Minna and Yola, Nigeria
Abstract: The variation of meteorological parameters and their influence on tropospheric surface radio refractivity in Minna (middle belt) and Yola (north east), Nigeria was investigated. The results show that variation of each meteorological parameter (temperature, humidity and pressure) contributed to the diurnal and seasonal variations of tropospheric surface radio refractivity at Minna and Yola. The wet term of refractivity (Nwet) and dry term of refractivity (Ndry), contributed 24% and 76%, respectively …

Tropospheric Variation of Point Refractivity Gradient and Geo-climatic Factor over a Coastal Location in Tropical Nigeria
Abstract: Accurate assessment of refractivity gradient and Geo-climatic factor is crucial for maintaining reliable radio signal propagation in clear-air environments. These parameters are essential for determining the fade margin necessary to ensure a stable and effective wireless radio link, given the unstable nature of the atmosphere through which the signals travel. It is crucial to have accurate knowledge of these characteristics, particularly at microwave antenna heights of around 70 meters, in …

Precipitable Water for Human Consumption in Rural Areas: Calculation Method and Engineering Design
Abstract: This work describes a methodological process to estimate the precipitable water for human consumption as a function of meteorological parameters like ambient and dew point temperature, water vapor and ambient pressure, and relative humidity. The paper uses empirical correlations to determine the most accurate procedure for atmospheric rainwater, resulting in a simple relation between precipitable water and dew point temperature as the highest accurate one. The study shows the dew …

A Review of Semiconductor Solar PV Cell and Development of Solar Radiation Estimation Models
Abstract: Today’s life could not be imagined without energy (Power). It has become an integral part of day to day life. Traditionally, dependency was there on conventional sources of energy like coal, hydroelectric etc. But they are limited resources; also, they offer residue or pollution to the environment which is not desirable. These are the main reasons that the researchers inclined themselves towards the maximum exploration and make optimal use of …
