A High Frequency and Power Efficient Memristor Emulator and Its Application
Abstract: This study presents a small, energy-efficient memristor emulator made for use at high frequencies. The proposed circuit has a simple design that only includes three n-type MOSFETs and a grounded capacitor. This means that there is no need for active components or DC biasing. This streamlined architecture not only makes things easier, but it also uses very little power, with dynamic and static power measured at 15.82 μW and 65.6 …

Effect of the Background Harmonics and the Network’s Impedance Characteristics on the Operation of Shunt Capacitors
Abstract: This paper deals with the possible adverse harmonic conditions associated with the connection of shunt compensating capacitors to certain network buses. It takes into account both the daily profile of the voltage background harmonics and the frequency dependence of the network's input impedance at these buses. These two factors will be incorporated in four established standards and recommendations used for assessing the severity of the harmonic pollution in the network. …

Harmonic Analysis of 6-Pulse Diode Bridge Rectifier Circuits
Abstract: This paper analyzes the steady-state harmonic performance of the six-diode, 3-phase rectifier bridge circuits. A procedure for determining the frequency spectra of the different voltages and currents within the bridge circuit, resulting from a 60-Hz 3-phase supply, is presented. The effect of the smoothing shunt-capacitor is also demonstrated. Based on a Mathematica code, the paper presents the results of a comprehensive list of case studies. The procedure can handle unsymmetrical …

Harmonic Analysis of Full-Wave Diode Bridge Rectifier Circuits
Abstract: This paper analyzes the steady-state harmonic performance of four-diode, single-phase full-wave rectifier bridge circuits. The frequency spectra of the source and load currents are presented. The effect of the load resistance, the source inductance, the smoothing shunt- capacitor as well as the waveform of the supply voltage is illustrated. The approach can also handle cases involving non-sinusoidal sources and non-linear loads. Based on a Mathematica code, the paper presents the …
