Effect of Temperature on Inhibitory Efficacy of Tamarindus indica fruit extract on acid corrosion of Aluminium
Abstract: An attempt has been made to investigate the anti-corrosive propensity of ethanolic extract of Tamarindus indica fruit at elevated temperature between 303 to 343 K, so as to replace the exploitation of toxic chemicals as corrosion inhibitors. Inhibition efficiency has been observed significantly high (84.06%) at room temperature at concentration 0.45 %. The inhibition efficiency is found to increase with increasing concentration of extract and decrease with rise in temperature. …

Removal of AB 10B from Water by Copper Oxide Nano- Particles through Adsorption: A Kinetics and Thermodynamic Study
Abstract: Copper oxide nanoparticle was synthesized by a simple method. Consequently, adsorbent was characterized by using FTIR, XRD, and SEM techniques. The study of optimized parameter contains pH, initial dye concentration, adsorbent dose and contact time. Langmuir, Freundlich and Tempkin models were pragmatic for evaluating adsorption equilibrium data of AB 10B as the adsorbent but experiment show the Langmuir model is best for it. The adsorption kinetic model study was done …

The Effect of Dried Green Alga Chlorella sorokiniana MH923013 on Corrosion Protection of Stainless Steel in Saline Media
Abstract: Metals interact with their surroundings to undergo corrosion, which is also defined as surface damage or metal decline in an aggressive setting. The objective of the current study was to assess the ability of the green alga Chlorella sorokiniana MH923013 to prevent corrosion of stainless steel in saline medium. Atomic force macroscopy (AFM) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) were used to analyse a dry mass of green algae. Electrochemical …

Evaluating the Influence of Temperature on the Efficacy of Capparis Decidua Extract as a Corrosion Inhibitor for Aluminium in Acidic Media
Abstract: The study investigates the anti-corrosive properties of the ethanolic extract of Capparis decidua fruit on aluminum corrosion in a 2N HCl acid solution, using a weight loss technique at temperatures ranging from 303 to 343 K. At a concentration of 0.45%, the inhibition efficiency (η%) is notably high, reaching 63.15% at 303 K. The inhibitor's adsorption behavior on the aluminum surface is consistent with the Langmuir adsorption isotherm, suggesting that …

Studies on Removal of Coomassie Brilliant Blue R250(CBB) dye Usingligninas Adsorbent
Abstract: Coomassie brilliant blue R-250 (CBB), an organic dye present in wastewater effluent, affects environment by reducing the photosynthetic activity in aquatic ecosystems. CBB must be eliminated from effluent as a result. In the present study, lignin was utilized as a low-cost bio adsorbent for the removal of CBB dye employing an adsorption technique in order to minimize pollution caused by CBB dye. By studying the effect of several parameters includes …

Thermodynamic, Kinetic and Mechanistic Investigations of Ruthenium(III) Catalyzed Methylparaben Oxidation by Diperiodatocuprate(III) in Aqueous Alkaline Medium
Abstract: The kinetics of ruthenium(III) catalyzed degradative oxidation of methylparaben by the copper complex, diperiodatocuprate(III) in alkaline medium is studied at 25ºC and at a ionic strength of 8.0 × 10−2 mol dm−3. In the presence of catalyst ruthenium(III), the reaction between methylparaben and diperiodatocuprate(III) in aqueous alkaline medium exhibits 1:1 stoichiometry. The oxidation products were identified by UV-visible, GC-MS and IR spectroscopy. The reaction exhibited unit order in case of …

Solid-State Reactions: Mechanistic Insights, Kinetic Behavior and Emerging Applications in Advanced Materials
Abstract: Solid-state reactions are fundamental to the synthesis and transformation of inorganic materials, playing a crucial role in the development of ceramics, semiconductors, catalysts, and energy storage systems. Unlike reactions in liquid or gaseous phases, they are limited by restricted atomic mobility and typically require elevated temperatures to enhance diffusion and overcome activation energy barriers. These reactions proceed through interfacial contact between solid reactants, followed by nucleation of product phases and …

Mechanisms of Crystal Growth: From Spiral Steps to Surface Adhesion
Abstract: Crystal growth is a complex interplay between thermodynamic stability and kinetic processes, influenced heavily by the conditions under which crystallization occurs—particularly the degree of supersaturation. This abstract outline three principal regimes of solution-grown crystal growth: defect-driven, two-dimensional, and adhesive growth. At low supersaturation, growth is facilitated at surface defects, such as screw dislocations, where energy barriers to attachment are minimized. This results in the formation of spiraling steps that propagate …
