Experimental Study on the Impact of Polymer (PAM) in Enhancing Oil Recovery in Upper Assam Basin Oil fields
Abstract: The Upper Assam Basin, one of India’s most mature and extensively exploited hydrocarbon provinces, is experiencing declining oil production due to reservoir depletion and unfavorable crude oil–brine–rock (COBR) interactions. In this context, alkali–polymer (AP) flooding has emerged as a promising chemical enhanced oil recovery (EOR) strategy. AP flooding reduces interfacial tension (IFT) through in-situ surfactant generation by alkali and improves sweep efficiency via polymer-based mobility control, typically using polyacrylamide (PAM). …

Evaluation of Chemical Application as Pilot to Improve Oil Production from High Viscous Oil in Sandstone Reservoir
Abstract: Chemical injection stimulation is one of worldwide proven technologies for viscosity reduction and mobility enhancement. The principle mechanism is to reduce heavy oil viscosity by injecting of active chemical agent solution into reservoir as huff and buff practice, the agent solution is act at near wellbore area by remove plugging of heavy organic material, Energy support due to large quantity of stimulation liquid being injected into the formation, viscosity reduction …

Eco-Friendly Elixirs: A Critical Review of Biosurfactants for Sustainable Wastewater Solutions
Abstract: Biosurfactants are the amphiphilic substances which are acquired from the remains of the living microorganisms and have attracted a lot of scientific interests because of their applicability in various fields. This review aims at reviewing current research and development on biosurfactants with special emphasis on their application in wastewater and oil. Biosurfactants being less hazardous to the environment are produced by microorganisms and works as a substitute for chemically produced …

An Experimental Investigation on the Determination of Critical Micelle Concentration (CMC) Of Various Surfactants Using the Surface Tension Method
Abstract: This study primarily focuses on the experimental investigation for determining the critical micelle concentration (CMC) of various surfactants that are commonly employed to enhance the stability of nanoparticles in base fluids. In this context, three surfactants belonging to the anionic category—Sodium Dodecyl Sulfate (SDS), Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS), and the bio-surfactant Rhamnolipid—were selected, along with one non-ionic polymer, Polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP), which is used as a surfactant. The CMC of each …

An Overview of Natural Fibers and Fillers Reinforced Polymer Composite Materials
Abstract: Polymer composite materials reinforced with natural fibers and fillers are drawing wide spread attention due to their sustainability, eco-friendliness, and a replacement of conventional synthetic composites. Such materials combine strength and stiffness of natural fibers like jute, hemp, flax, and sisal with flexibility and durability of polymer matrices, including thermoplastics, and thermosets. The paper reviews some developments, properties, and applications of natural fiber-reinforced polymer composites (NFRPCs), focusing on their merits, …

Mechanical Performance Evaluation of Brachyuran Shell Particle-Infused S-Glass Fibre Epoxy Polymer Composites
Abstract: Epoxy composites bio-filled with brachyuran crab shell powder and reinforced with S-glass fibres at different loadings (2%, 4%, and 6%) are tested for their mechanical properties in this work. Using modest amounts of filler significantly improved hardness, ultimate tensile strength, and flexural strength in the empirical data. The largest increase in hardness was 64.42% at 4% filler, up from 26.22% at 2%; however, there was a dramatic decrease to 13.11% …

Mechanical Characterization of Hybrid Basalt Fiber Composites with Silicon Carbide Fillers
Abstract: Natural fiber composites (NFCs) have experienced significant growth and innovation in recent research because to their advantages over synthetic fiber composites, including their lower cost and environmental impact. This paper investigates the tension and compression properties of hybrid laminate composites composed of stainless-steel wire mesh, epoxy resin reinforced with basalt fibre, and silicon carbide (SiC) filler. Composites with varying weight percentages of SiC filler (0%, 1.5%, and 3%), were made …
