Revolutionizing Gastro-retentive Drug Delivery: Exploring Innovative Formulation Strategies and Mechanisms in Floating in Situ Gel Raft Forming System
Abstract: An in-depth exploration of the transformative shift underway in gastro-retentive drug delivery, spotlighting the utilization of Floating Drug Delivery Systems (FDDS) and specifically honing in on the innovative formulation strategies and mechanisms inherent in Floating In Situ Gel Raft Forming Systems. FDDS present a promising avenue for revolutionizing drug delivery efficacy by capitalizing on buoyancy to float atop the gastric fluid surface, thereby extending gastric residence time and improving drug …

Design and Development of Novel Floating Drug Delivery Systems
Abstract: Recent advances in science and technology have greatly aided in the creation of novel drug delivery methods, especially in addressing physiological issues including irregular stomach emptying times and brief stomach residence periods. Long-term stomach absorption is the goal of gastro-retentive dosage forms (GRDF). Floating drug delivery systems, expanding or swelling systems, polymer-based bioadhesive systems, high-density systems, and other ways that postpone stomach emptying are just a few of the techniques …

An Effective & Novel Approach as Gastro-retentive Drug Delivery Systems
Abstract: Researcher’s curiosity about gastro-retentive drug delivery system increased so high in recent years because of its excellent drug releasing properties to the target site. The delivery system's residence time in the stomach can be extended with the usage of gastro-retentive drug delivery system by using a number of natural and synthetic polymers such as guar gum, hydoxy propyl methyl cellulose which can be used to improve the bioavailability of a …

Floating In-Situ Gel for Gastric Retention Delivery
Abstract: When taken orally, medications with a limited window of absorption in the gastrointestinal tract (GIT) are typically accessible to the extremities due to the partial release of the active component and the brief residence period at the absorption site. Because they prolong the duration of the drug's presence in the stomach, they are made with high density and have the capacity to swell. Because oral fluids go more quickly through …
