A Discrete Gamma Lifetime Model and Its Reliability Applications
Abstract: In this paper, we have first developed discrete gamma failure (dGam) lifetime model by discretizing the well-known gamma failure distribution. Thereafter, we have given a description of the distributional properties and reliability characteristics of dGam model. The next section consists of a few theorems on dGam and provides a basis for ML and Bayes estimation procedures are carried out in next sections along with a thorough simulation study depicting the …

Parameter Estimation of Nakagami Distribution under Weighted Loss Function
Abstract: In this paper, the Nakagami distribution is considered for Bayesian analysis. The expressions for Bayes estimators of the scale parameter have been derived under squared error and weighted loss functions by using quasi and inverted gamma priors.

Reliability Analysis of an Infinite Range Failure Model under Different Prior Distributions
Abstract: AbstractA failure rate model has been selected for the present study and Bayesian estimates of reliability and hazard rate functions of that model have been obtained. The prior distributions considered for this study are, uniform and inverted gamma distributions. Since, the same mathematics is required for the study of survival analysis that is why the estimate of survival function has also been obtained in this paper. Keywords: Reliability function, hazard function, …

Molecular Evolution of Virulence Genes of Coronavirus: A Computational Study
Abstract: Corona Virus i.e., Covid 19 is consider as highly pathogenic and transmissible, which is responsible for emerging scenario of current pandemic disease. The family of this virus Coronaviridae, which affect respiratory system of human along with animal, and It is belived to be originated from bat. The homology of covid 19 is mix of SARA-CoV and MERS-CoV. The Single-stranded positive genomic RNA, which is coated by nucleocapsid protein is present …

Asymptotic Test for Parameters of Two Power Function Distributions
Abstract: In this article we have presented some of asymptotic distributions related to two power function distributions. The Asymptotic conditional distribution of complete sufficient statistics of the parameter of interest is obtained by conditioning the distribution of complete sufficient of nuisance parameter is held fixed, Using this conditional distribution we have derived the asymptotic Uniformly Most Powerful Unbiased (UMPU) tests for testing hypotheses (i) one parameter is larger than the another …

New Analytical Expression of OPRA Over InverseGamma Shadowed Fading Channel with Selection Combining Diversity
Abstract: Abstract: Considering wireless communications, different factors are responsible for attenuation and degradation of signal which is term as fading. Generally fading is divided into two parts large scale fading and small scale fading. It is very essential to develop a fading model that characterizes the channel considering that effects. In this paper analysis of channel capacity under Optimal Power Rate Adaption (OPRA) over Inverse-Gamma shadowed distribution with Selection Combining diversity …

Accidental Eccentricity Demand of Educational Building due to Imposed Load Uncertainty
Abstract: AbstractIn this paper, the accidental eccentricity demand of an educational building due to live load uncertainty is worked out. The various occupancies of an educational building are imposed with suitable intensity of imposed load as per IS 875 provision and for different situations of these loads the maximum shift of centre of mass is evaluated. To define imposed load intensity, gamma probability distribution is used. The values of accidental eccentricity …

Fitting of Probability Distribution on the Pre-Monsoon Precipitation of Different Locations in Bangladesh
Abstract: In this study, different probability distributions have been fitted for the data of pre-monsoon precipitation for 17 different locations in Bangladesh over the period 1961–2014. It is found that for the pre-monsoon precipitation, the Gamma is the best-fitted distribution for the locations of Faridpur, Maijdi Court, Khulna, Barisal, Dhaka, Rangamati, Ishurdi, and Rangpur. Furthermore, the Weibull distribution is well fitted for the pre-monsoon precipitations of Chittagong, Comilla, Cox's Bazar, and …

A Comparison among Twenty-Seven Normality Tests
Abstract: This paper studies and compares the power of 27 normality tests via the Monte Carlo simulation of sample data generated from symmetric three short-tailed and three long-tailed, asymmetric three short-tailed and three long-tailed distributions under different sample sizes by using R codes. Our simulation results showed that for symmetric short-tailed Uniform (0, 1), t (10) and Beta (4, 4) distributions showed that the Agostino-Pearson K2, Jarque Bera and Kurtosis tests …
