Comprehensive Review of EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) Rubber
Abstract: The terpolymer elastomer known as ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) is made up of ethylene and propylene with trace amounts of a non-conjugated diene as a third monomer. This elastomer was created using the idea of limited olefinic functionality, which is brought about by diene monomer incorporating unsaturation into the polymer backbone. This random elastomeric copolymer, which has a fully saturated polymer backbone, has intriguing qualities such as good heat …

Jabuticaba Skin Flour AsA Functional Food Ingredient: Phenolic Profile, Antioxidant Potential and Functional Technological Properties
Abstract: Brazilian-native fruit, jabuticaba, is a member of the Myrtaceae family that is typically consumed naturally. The jabuticaba skin flour (JSF) is rich in phenolic compounds, the most active antioxidants present in plants, being able to stop oxidative damage and reduce the risk of oxidative stress linked to different degenerative diseases, thus become interesting to the consumer. Despite all this antioxidant potential, little is known about their characterization and about the …

Synthesis of Magnetically Recoverable Nickel (II) Complex-Functionalized Fe3O4@ISNA (ISNA= Isonicotinic acid) Nanomaterials: Catalytic Studies on Nitrophenol Reduction and TD- DFT Studies
Abstract: In this study, we aimed to develop a novel, environmentally sustainable, and magnetically separable heterogeneous nanocatalyst, denoted as Fe3O4@ISNA@NiL (where L represents the ligand). The synthesis involved a two-step process, first, isonicotinic acid was chemically grafted onto the surface of iron oxide nanoparticles (Fe3O4) to introduce functional groups capable of further chemical modification. Subsequently, a nickel(II) Schiff base monomeric complex was anchored onto the modified surface, resulting in a nanocatalyst …

Role of Electron Donors in MgCl2 Supported Ziegler-Natta Catalysis: DFT Approach
Abstract: An insight into the nature of carbonate-based electron donors in high-activity MgCl2 supported Ziegler-Natta (Z-N) catalysts has been studied and compared with conventional phthalate and diether systems by employing density functional theory (DFT) calculations. In the catalyst activation (one of the important processes to produce the active catalyst sites), the conventional monometallic and recently characterized bimetallic (TiCl2(Et)–Cl–AlEt2) active site are studied in the presence/absence of electron donors. These active sites …

Dissipative Particle Dynamics Simulation Study on the Evolution of Photoinitiated Free Radical Polymerization Crosslinked Networks
Abstract: Gradient polymer materials overcome the limitations of conventional homogeneous polymers by integrating multiple distinct functionalities within a single continuous structure. Although photoinitiated free-radical polymerization offers excellent spatial and temporal control, the underlying microscopic mechanisms governing network evolution under non-uniform light fields remain poorly understood. In this study, a mesoscale dissipative particle dynamics (DPD) model was successfully developed to couple free-radical polymerization kinetics—including initiation, propagation, crosslinking, and termination—with exponential light attenuation …
