Optimization of Direct Ink Writing Process Parameters for Liquid Silicone Rubber/TiO2 Composite Ink
Abstract: The purpose of this research is to develop and optimize the Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR)/Titanium Dioxide (TiO₂) composite inks in Direct Ink Writing (DIW)-based 3D printing systems. The primary research objective was to use enhancement of mechanical, rheological, and dielectric characteristics of LSR using TiO₂ reinforcement but still retain extrusion stability and dimensional consistency. TiO₂ content (0, 5, 10, and 15 wt%) and catalyst and glycerol ratios were regulated and …

Advancing Conductive Ink Formulations for DIW with Graphene and Hybrid Nanostructures
Abstract: The development of solvent-based conductive inks for direct ink writing (DIW) has gained significant attention as a pathway toward flexible, wearable, and scalable electronic devices. This review critically examines conductive fillers, binders, solvent systems, and hybrid ink strategies reported in recent literature. Graphene and carbon nanotubes (CNTs) remain the most studied fillers due to their high intrinsic conductivity and unique dimensionality, but challenges such as restacking, bundling, and high viscosity …

3D Printing of Polymer-Based Functionally Graded Materials: Recent Developments and Challenges
Abstract: Additive manufacturing (AM), specifically 3D printing, has become a useful technique for fabricating functionally graded materials (FGMs) because it can facilitate the spatial distribution of materials. Polymer FGMs (P-FGMs) have gained a great deal of interest due to their lightweight, customizable, multifunctional properties. In comparison to conventional fabrication, 3D printing allows better control of composition and microstructure, which results in materials with controlled mechanical, thermal, and biological properties. This review …
