Using of the sea grasses for the removal of some industrial organic dyes; bromo cresol purple from aqueous solutions
Abstract: Abstract: The objectives of this study are evaluating the efficiency of low cost adsorbents of activated carbon obtained from sea grasses. Using the sea grasses for the removal of some industrial organic dye; bromo cresol purple indicators from aqueous solutions and studying the impact of some of the factors including different dosages , pH, different concentrations, different temperature and effect of time of adsorbed materials. Adsorption efficiency of dye onto …

Effect of the U.V. Irradiation on the Aqueous Solution of Dye (i.e. Cresol Purple)
Abstract: This study aimed to estimate the effect of the U.V. irradiation on the aqueous solution of cresol purple. Then study the effect of the activation energy of each electron transfere on the absorbance and λmax values. The absorbance and λmax values of the selective λmax solutions were chanced in most solutions, where the U.V radiation gave different values at different irradiation periods, most of solution gave low values of absorbance …

Acetoxylation of o, m Cresol by Electrochemical Process at Graphite Electrode
Abstract: Electrochemical processes remain unique because of the nature of specific products formed and their mode of formation in which current is a reactive input in place of redox reagents. The high yields of the products can be obtained by designing and optimizing the electrolysis. The ordinary chemical procedures are multi-staged and may result poor yields. Therefore the best way for minimizing the pollution is transformation of conventional chemical processes to …

Influence of the Modification of Resol Phenolics on the Properties of Glass and Cotton Fiber Laminates
Abstract: Fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) composite based on resol phenolics awaits special attention due to excellent inherent properties of the resol phenolics. In this study, modified resol phenolics by unsaturated polyester (UP) and epoxidised novolacs of simple phenol, o-cresol and p-cresol were used to fabricate glass and cotton FRPs. An overall enhancement of 25% in tensile strength and 40% in impact strength is achieved upon modification for both the modified laminates. …
