Knowledge and Implementation of Infection Control Measures Among Nurses Caring for Patients with Chemical Gas Exposure
Abstract: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the level of knowledge and the extent of implementation of infection control measures among nurses caring for patients exposed to chemical gases. A descriptive cross-sectional design was adopted, and a sample of staff nurses working in clinical settings with potential chemical exposure roles was selected using convenience sampling. Data were collected via a structured questionnaire assessing knowledge of chemical inhalation hazards and …

Review on the Effects of Chemical Compounds Toxicity on Workers in Chemical Laboratories.
Abstract: Chemical laboratories are considered high-risk work environments due to the wide range of chemicals that workers handle, which may be toxic, corrosive, or flammable. Improper handling of these substances can lead to serious health problems, ranging from mild irritation to death in cases of exposure to chemical compounds such as phenols and amines, which cause various types of lung and laryngeal cancers and respiratory diseases in laboratory workers who are …

Detection and Control of Adulterants in Milk
Abstract: Milk is one of the most essential and widely consumed staple foods, valued for its rich nutritional composition, including proteins, fats, vitamins, and minerals necessary for human growth and health. However, the increasing demand for milk, coupled with economic incentives, has led to the widespread issue of milk adulteration, posing serious concerns for food safety and public health. Adulteration involves the addition of harmful or inferior substances to milk, either …

The Impact of Bacteria and Biostimulants on Crude Oil Breakdown in Loamy Soil
Abstract: This study investigates the influence of bacteria and biostimulants—specifically Bryophyllum pinnatum leaves soaked in both water and ethanol—on the degradation of crude oil in loamy soil. A laboratory-scale bioremediation setup was employed using a batch reactor model and first-order degradation kinetics to assess total petroleum hydrocarbon (TPH) breakdown under controlled conditions. Various analytical tools and procedures, including gas chromatography (Agilent 6890) and microbial media such as nutrient agar and mineral …

Climate Change and Air Pollution Dynamics: Synergistic Effects and Mitigation Strategies
Abstract: Climate change and air pollution are deeply interlinked environmental problems that jointly exacerbate human health, ecosystem integrity, and economic well‑being. As global temperatures rise, shifts in meteorological conditions—such as increased heat, altered precipitation, and more frequent extreme weather events—modify pollutant generation, dispersion, chemical transformation, and removal processes. Meanwhile, many sources of air pollution are also sources of greenhouse gases (GHGs), giving rise to potential co‑benefits or trade‑offs when formulating mitigation …
