Experimental Analysis and Validation of Cellulose Fibre Insulation Structures Considering Thermal Properties
Abstract: Cellulose fibre insulation structures made from used newspaper can be installed in attics, filling gaps between doors and windows. Many researchers focused on loose-filled cellulose fibre insulation. This study investigates the thermal conductivity, R- Value and thermal transmittance of cellulose fibre insulation manufactured from recycled cellulose materials with densities ranging from 280 to 360 kg / m³ and specimen thicknesses of 10 – 30 mm. A total of 25 structures …

ISOLATION OF CELLULOSIC NANOPARTICLES FROM COIR FIBRE FOR THE PREPARATION OF NATURAL RUBBER COMPOSITES
Abstract: Coir fibre and natural rubber are renewable and sustainable agro-resources that can be harnessed for the production of finished rubber articles on industrial scale. In this research, coir fibres extracted from coconut husk were subjected to alkaline-peroxide delignification. The delignified fibres were further transformed into coir fibre cellulosic nanoparticles (CFNP) with particle size distribution of 68–311 nm and a polydispersity index (PDI) of 0.371 through friction homogenization. These particles were …

High-Performance Biodegradable Films from Bamboo Derived Cellulose Nanofibers and Silk Fibroin: Engineering Sustainable Polymer Composites
Abstract: This research presents the advancement of biodegradable composite films from cellulose nanofibers (CNFs) extracted from bamboo and silk fibroin (SF) derived from Bombyx mori cocoons. CNF/SF composites were fabricated in three different compositions—CS10, CS30, and CS50—via aqueous blending and solution casting, followed by ethanol-induced β-sheet stabilization. Mechanical testing confirmed a considerable enhancement in tensile strength from 72 MPa (CS10) to 112 MPa (CS50), while Young’s modulus improved from 2.4 GPa …

Adaptive Mechanisms of Rumen Microbiota to High-Fiber Diets: Mystery of Fiber Degradation and Nutrient Utilization for Improved Host Performance
Abstract: The rumen microbiota plays a critical role in the digestion of plant fibers, enabling herbivores to derive essential nutrients from fibrous feed sources. The adaptation of these microbial communities to high-fiber diets is crucial for optimizing fiber degradation and nutrient utilization. This study explores the mechanisms by which rumen microbes adjust to handle the complex structure of fibrous materials such as cellulose, hemicellulose, and lignin. Through an integrated approach, we …

Considerations on Fractured Edge Dislocations of Mechanical Tested Hand Laid Hemp Flax GFRP Hybrid Polymer Composites with SEM Verifications
Abstract: In this research study, three types of composite samples are made. Hemp-Glass Fiber (C1), Flax- Glass Fiber (C2), and Hemp-Flax-Glass Fiber Hybrid Composite (C3). For proper fibre-to-fiber adhesion and bonding, a 10:1 mixture of glue (LY556) and brace (HY951) was used. Tensile, flexural, impact, double shear, and hardness research is conducted among all the specimen samples. According to ASTM standards, the comparison is made among C1, C2 and C2 respectively; …
