An Overview of Elliptical Low Pass Filter by using Defected Ground Structure Method
Abstract: Calculation and differentiation of the response of elliptical low pass filter (LPF) with and without using defected ground structure (DGS) was done. In the present work, return loss, bandwidth and gain have been evaluated. All the designs are printed on the FR4 lossy substrate of dielectric constant ( ) of 4.3, substrate thickness of 1.6 mm and loss tangent of 0.02. Moreover, the effect of controlling parameters namely slots and …

Design and Simulation of Triple Band Microstrip Patch Antenna for Ku-band, K-band and Ka-band Applications
Abstract: AbstractThis paper represents a microstrip patch antenna for future 5G-communication technology. The proposed antenna designs are simulated and their performances are analyzed for different parameters like lower return losses, higher gain, voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR), current distribution, far field radiation and wide bandwidth performance for the tri-frequency band operation in Ku band (12–18 GHz),K-band (18–27 GHz) and Ka-band (27–40 GHz) as per the specified IEEE standard. The proposed antenna …

Design and Analysis of Multi Band Patch with Enhanced Bandwidth
Abstract: In this article, a novel lower edge defected multi-band patch with modified ground structure (or Defected Ground Structure-DGS) with enhanced bandwidth has been presented. The bandwidth can be enhanced by defecting the partial ground and by arc truncation of lower edges of the patch. The antenna was converted into multi-band by defecting the lower corners. The antenna is resonating at multiple bands i.e. 3.7 GHz, 7.87 (~7.9) GHz, 12.19 (~12.2) …

Electromagnetic and Dielectric Performance of Polymer–Ceramic Composite Substrates for Fractal-Based IoT-Antenna Fabrication
Abstract: Polymer–ceramic composite substrates play a crucial role in determining the electromagnetic performance, mechanical stability, and thermal reliability of radio-frequency devices. In this work, a polymer-based composite substrate is systematically investigated for its suitability in compact IoT and RFID antenna applications. A fractal-structured antenna is employed as a functional test platform to evaluate the dielectric behavior, impedance characteristics, and radiation efficiency of the composite substrate. Novelty of the proposed reader antenna …
