Abstract: Coconut leaf vermiwash (CLV) was produced from actively vermicomposting coconut leaf litter + cow dung substrate (5:1 W/W) basis by Eudrilus fetida. It significantly increased the growth of Vigna mungo at 1:5, 1:10, and 1:20 dilution in trails. Increases the growth was recorded at 1:5 dilution of coconut leaf vermiwash. Increasing the population of the soil microorganisms, particularly plant beneficial ones, and their activities which would have facilitated increased uptake …

Ground Based Study of the Effect of Open and Close Chamber Condition on Banana Ripening Process
Abstract: Normal 0 false false false IN X-NONE X-NONE Level of O2 and CO2 plays an important role on ethylene biosynthesis during ripening of the climacteric fruit. Low level of O2 and high level of CO2 will affect ACS and ACO enzyme activities and will impede ethylene production. Thus, reduce ethylene level will eventually delay fruit ripening process. Pre-climacteric banana fruits (Musa sp.) were chosen based on ripening level, size, shape, …

Design, Construction and Testing of a Solar Charged Multi-USB Power Bank Using Lithium-ion Batteries
Abstract: This work proposes the design of a solar-powered charger for low-power devices. The level of the charging current is controllable and any residue power is saved to a rechargeable 12-volt lithium-ion battery. The power source is the solar panel, which is connected to a power booster for faster charging of any USB device connected to it. Quick charging is 20% of the battery output current (almost 10,000 mA/h) so that …

Nondestructive Technique in Study of Purolite NRW-5010 and Duolite A-638 Anion Exchange Resins
Abstract: The present paper is one of the interesting applications of radioactive isotopes in nondestructive technique for performance evaluation of anion exchange resins Purolite NRW-5010 and Duolite A-638. The radioactive isotopes 131I and 82Br were used to trace the kinetics of ion-isotopic exchange reactions taking place between the resin surface and external ionic solution. It was observed that for bromide ion-isotopic exchange reaction at 35.0°C, when the concentration of bromide ions …
