Machine Learning-Driven Polymer Composite Smart Skin for Integrated Sensing in Soft Robotic Systems
Abstract: Soft robotics has grown rapidly, but its progress is still constrained by the limitations of current sensing skins. Most polymer-based sensors provide either flexibility or sensitivity, yet they struggle to deliver real-time communication and adaptive intelligence when deployed in complex robotic environments. This disconnect between material performance and system-level responsiveness forms a critical bottleneck for practical deployment. Existing approaches often treat tactile sensing and wireless communication as separate problems. As …

Allelopathic Effect of Lantana camara L. on Moong Germination
Abstract: Allelopathy is a biological process where plants inhibit the growth and germination of surrounding species. This study examined the allelopathic effects of Lantana camara L. leaf extracts using concentrations of 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% on Vigna radiata L., compared to a control group. Results showed that L. camara L. extracts significantly inhibited both growth and germination of Vigna radiata L., with increasing effects at higher concentrations. On the 10th …

AI-Assisted Optimization of Supersonic Airfoil Shapes Using CFD Coupling
Abstract: This paper presents a novel framework for optimizing supersonic airfoil geometries through integrated artificial intelligence and computational fluid dynamics coupling. Traditional gradient-based optimization methods for high-speed aerodynamic shapes suffer from computational expense and convergence difficulties in non-convex design spaces. The proposed methodology employs a deep neural network surrogate model trained on high-fidelity Reynolds-Averaged Navier-Stokes solutions to approximate aerodynamic performance metrics across the design space. A hybrid particle swarm-genetic algorithm searches …
