Rheological behaviour analysis of prepared nano-cutting fluids from Al2O3 and TiO2
Abstract: In this research paper, an attempt has been made to characterize and analyse the rheological properties of two samples of nano-cutting fluids. Nanoparticles of Al2O3 and TiO2 were characterized by SEM and EDS. The high peaks showed the respective presence of aluminium, oxygen for alumina and titanium and oxygen for titanium dioxide. The two samples of nano-cutting fluids were prepared. Alpha alumina, α-Al2O3 nanoparticles were used for the preparation of …

A Narrative Review on Osteogenesis Imperfecta and Its Management
Abstract: Osteogenesis imperfecta (OI), sometimes referred to as brittle bone disease, is a heterogeneous illness characterized by short stature, several fractures, and distorted bones. The main contributing factor to OI is mutations in the genes needed to produce type 1 collagen. While severe OI is perinatally fatal, mild OI can occasionally not be detected until maturity. The frequency of Osteogenesis imperfecta ranges from about 1:15,000 to 1:20,000 births. Five kinds of …

Can Screw-only fixations of ACPHT acetabular fractures enhance stability as the standard buttress plate fixation provides?
Abstract: Background: Of acetabular fractures, anterior column posterior hemi-transverse(ACPHT) fractures commonly occur after a fall onto the hip in elderly population. When displaced in these fractures, open reduction and internal fixation using plate and screws is usually required to achieve good functional outcomes. The open procedures, however, involve high complication rates due to surgical invasion; therefore, percutaneous techniques by screw-only constructs have been advocated to minimize these complications. The purpose of …
