Analysis of Natural Pigments and its Application on Various Fields towards the Eco-Friendly Environment
Abstract: The pigments that are found naturally in the environment are most likely to be said as "earth colour" or "earth pigment". The traditional pigments are observed to have all the substances that are available on the natural environment and are of more economic values. The pigments as a natural dye are observed to be safe, highly efficient and eco- friendly. These organic colorants are observed to contain oxygen, carbon with …

Preparation and Characterisation of Activated Carbon from Rice Husk and its Polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) Composite for Heavy Metal Removal from Simulated Wastewater
Abstract: AbstractRemoval of heavy metals from industrial wastewater is of importance due to rapid increase in global industrial activities. This investigation deals with the preparation of adsorbentactivated carbon from agricultural waste material such as coconut shell, orange peel, ricehusk, peanut husk and sawdust to remove heavy metals from wastewater. The abundance and availability of rice husk, an agricultural waste, make them as a good source for precursor of activated carbon. Hence, …

Optimization of Bio-surfactant Production by Solid State Fermentation using Response Surface Methodology
Abstract: Optimization of bio—surfactant production was carried out. Response surface methodology (RSM) was used as a statistical optimization tool for the same. Potato peel, an agricultural residue was utilized as the solid state fermentation (SSF) media, which served as both carbon and nitrogen sources. A 25 full factorial central composite experimental design was employed followed by the analysis of variance. The variable factors were Time (days), Temperature (°C), pH, Substrate amount …
